LMFAO, if 1 gun reached .1 btc, I would be a multi millionaire on the way to billionaire $$..  That would be great!!  Unfortunately, I'm thinking the best we can hope for is .00001 btc, or about $.005 apiece, and that's on a long term hold.



As far as approaching Alex Jones, the best way would be to have someone ready to give an interview and show a demonstration video, like the guys that made the 3d printed guns did.

But this coin still isn't ready for that, as it's not on big enough exchanges to convert to and from US currency.  Any big pop in interest from the outside of the mining community would expose how under developed it really is.

Right now, gun is the little coin that could, but it ain't ready for the real world..  It needs to be built up little by little like it's doing, as there will be hiccups along the way with growth.

But I believe in it, that is why I've mined it since the start, and am still mining it, and haven't sold a single coin.

People try to contact Alex Jones, he is all about freedom and protecting gun plus is really famous, Max keiser both of them knows about Bitcoin plus the fans club of gun on facebook ecc.... it would be ok if 1 guncoin can reach 0.1 BC

True, the arms trade is extremely lucrative though.

The question I ask is what is a US Dollar going to be worth in five years? Ten?

How far do we take cryptocurrency, how serious does this get?

I see two scenarios and I could be far off the money.

1. Guncoin dies unsuccessful.
2. Guncoin has success alongside the general rise of alt-coins.

After further devaluation of the US Dollar and mass adoption of cryptocurrency IF guncoin becomes a trusted, traded brand no dollar-figure would seriously surprise me.

So high like this? it means 5billion marketcap for this coin I don't how it can be possible why this coin has so high potential with all this altcoins around?

If you were to ask me, I don't know. If it can hit $1 though, it will hit $10. Probably more.

what do you think the price per coin will be in future, can it reach $1 per coin?

Thanks for all your interest.  If you can find GUN and buy it for 9 Satoshi, I would grab it quickly.  Prices across several of the exchanges seem to put us in the 15-25 satoshi range - somewhat lower than in the past.  That is way down from previous highs near 100.  While we are disappointed with the low process, we are confident that is temporary and a result of a stagnant environment over the past month which resulted in the movement to a new project team. 

Keep in mind that starting last week, GUN started a transition over to our new project team to push the coin to the next level and get a more aggressive marketing and promotion program up and going.  First, we have a first draft on a users manual that our users are reviewing.  Next, we are also upgrading our infrastructure a bit.  We have added an additional node (note in our Users Guide) in addition to replacing the original 3 - we now have 4 and transactions and syncing are much faster.  We are in the process of getting our classified ads site up and running.  Still trying to get the https working right - hopefully, it will be fully functional in a few days.  Finally, the website, will be moving and get a little bit of a facelift.  Once all this is done over hopefully the next week or two, we think we are set to aggressively branch outside the crypto currency world and pursue gun enthusiasts with a product and service that can support their business and take our coin to the next level. 

All this does not happen over night of course.  We expect our coin prices to continue to be very volatile.  As such, there will be huge opportunities to make some money with GUN for investors and speculators who have access to all the exchanges we are on.  Keep in mind we are still on the voting list for MintPal and a few other big exchanges (PLEASE KEEP VOTING THERE).  If we can get on these, the demand for GUN should be very good and your patience and support should be rewarded.

We are pleased to release a preliminary copy of the GUN Users Guide for newbies - we hope.  Please give it a review and provide feedback.  This is designed to be something to hand a potential new user with little crypto background to get them started with GUN - not a detailed thorough tutorial for avid crypto enthusiasts.

Others have the seen the same thing on occasion - depends on the anti-virus that you us.  It is not uncommon for AV to have issues with a qt file from GUN or other coins.  Additionally, I know Minerd mining software has the same kind of problems.

I do believe your windows installer is having issues. Even when I set exceptions, it causes this.

All good ideas and we appreciate the feedback - that is what we were looking for.  Running an ad site is not really our top priority, but it is an important step in keeping our community active  and introducing GUN to the outside world.  We have our initial cut a Users Guide coming out in the next day or so - that should help educate newbies to some degree and at least give them a reference to get them started and better understand what we are doing here.

We do appreciate your taking the time to review GuncoinAds.com and populate it with ads.  I think services such as Gun show listing, FFLs are pretty easy to get listed.  This is the most powerful classified ad script that we could find and is very very flexible as to what we can do with it.  You will notice that it includes both Buy and Sell sections for every category. Thought that would help generate more ads.

In regards to the legalities of the site, while we were not aware of the Armslist lawsuit, etc., we are very aware of the legal ramifications of a site like this.  We think our Terms of Service is pretty clear on this.  It may be a road block to such things in the future, but we know it will not totally shut down a lawsuit.  One option, although not a god choice, would be just to not list firearms of any type on the site.  While that solves about 90% of the legal issues, it kind of defeats the purpose of what we are trying to do here.  So for now, very stiff Terms up front may be the best that we can do.

As you go through and use the site, please make notes of what else might be needed.  We may be able to add those easily.  If there is extra coding and cost concerned, it might take a while.  Our goal with it is not to make money, just to keep the GUN moving around and gain GUN some more visibility.  Again, we appreciate you feedback and support.

But charging when armslist is free is going to be a tough sell, even if 500 coin is only equal to a US nickel.  Those swapping in here will be willing to do it, but that's because they're invested in the coin.   The biggest problem I foresee with outsiders is, most people outside here (not miners) are not going to be willing to, or knowledgeable enough to, do the conf file add to the wallet, you'll need to add it to the download/install package.  Then they need to sign up at an exchange, buy some bitcoin, then buy guncoin to place the ad.  You should really consider an online wallet system, then people don't have to install anything.  Just signup and give a CC #.  Have links to the offline wallet and detailed instructions on how easily it's installed, along with a link to a monthly updated blockchain to keep sync time from being stupid slow.

Definitely lets get some ads on there from peeps in here..  I'm mulling over some stuff to list, even though I wasn't planning on selling anything. (gotta be careful though, I live in NY, can't buy or sell a lot of stuff here through classifieds, it's gotta go through an FFL. aka: no mags bigger than 10 rounds (at all even through an FFL), no ammo, no lowers, no anything with a serial #, etc, etc, etc...)

Some additional ideas for the swap site:

Maybe if you had the ads on other sites offer to give away 10 free guncoin to random people that check it out.  I'd donate several thousand coin for that.  If they don't win the 10 free, they can still do the faucet.  And you can send out monthly reminders of the coin balance to the users at the email address they sign up with, this will keep reminding peeps about guncoin.

Have guncoin stuff to sell on the site.  Shirts, mugs, window stickers, and gun cases that people can buy.  If you offer guncoin gear buyers who pay with USD, 100 coin per purchase off the gun site, it will get coin into the hands of even more people. (and even more people to remind that they own guncoin)

I went to sign up, but I don't want to do it over http connection.  I noticed there was a self signed cert that showed up on https,  which is cool with me,  but the site doesn't seem to be linked to the https side yet.  I'll keep checking every day or so.  I'll place an ad for the faucet on there,  and I might have a few items to sell on the site when the https gets going.

I realize it's a work in progress and that this stuff takes a lot of time,  or money if you're not doing it yourself.

The previous dev team did a great job getting the coin going,  and I praise them for all of their work.

We are getting ready to launch our first satellite site that will support the Guncoin project.......We have created a firearms-related classified ad site at GunCoinAds.com.  While it is not officially launched or promoted yet, it should be 100% operational and functional.  We ask for our Guncoin forum members here to join it, test it out, etc. for free for now.   Our end goal is to charge 500 GUN per ad or whatever is a reasonably cheap amount.  We will promote this on traditional firearm portals and sites and hopefully bring gun enthusiasts from outside the crypto currency community to the ad site to post ads and promote their products and services.  Once they find out about Guncoin and how cheap and easy it is to post an ad, many will do so, just to promote their businesses, etc. Of course, to get some GUN, they will have to buy it on the exchanges, etc. which we hope will stimulate the prices a bit.  BEFORE we start promoting it, we need a lot of members here to join, post some ads, etc. to make it look like a place that is worth posting ads - get it???  The more new people see there, the more they will want to do it themselves.  We think this is a simple way to get those outside the crypto community introduced to and using GUN in a way that is both cheap and easy for them.  Over time, they will look for more ways to spend their money and hopefully, by then, there will be more places.  We appreciate your help in beta testing the ad site.  Please do NOT post all your bug fixes for it here, do not want to litter the column with those - just PM them to us.

Note that not all the lower level subcategories are there quite yet - we will be adding them in today.  Additionally, you may note the URL of each ad if VERY search engine friendly - we will be submitting the site to several search engines on a weekly basis once it is properly launched - so all ads should get good visibility and bring some good traffic back to Guncoin!

Not seeing that - I just downloaded the Windows wallet and it opened fine.  What file or feature specifically is not working for you???
