Hectorians!  After reviewing our previous HIP's and the realization that we missed a commitment to maintain staking of HEC outside of the Emission Plan combined with over 48% of sHEC still active and community members expressing the desire to maintain using their wsHEC as collateral whilst earning an index reward multiplier for TAX purposes, we are pleased to announce that we have a new revision of the Staking page in our ever growing Hector Farms offering so called Lockless Staking where you can enjoy the previous benefits of sHEC and wsHEC without needing to take any action. The APY will be around 5% there and may be changed in the future.!

We are pleased to announce that we have launched our second Emission Plan Farm USDC-HEC, and with that we have also launched the Emission Plan Voting system where your HEC or your FNFT can be used to vote for your favorite farm. Your votes influence the percentage of rewards to the farms you vote on.

This is how it works:
Before the "Next Reward Distribution" countdown timer expires (visible on the voting page), the Emission Plan controller will automatically tally up all votes from the previous period from all the users that voted and determine the new reward percentage for the existing Emission Plan lock farms.

Hello Hectorians, Due to the exceptional diligence of several community members, a discrepancy between projected and actual rewards was brought to our attention. Naturally, this was a huge concern and prompted an immediate investigation into our contracts. The results revealed a mistake wherein the Average APR was displayed rather than the Base APR.
This discrepancy was caused by a programming issue on the dApp, not a contract issue. All the rewards were distributed as they should be. However, users calculating based on the displayed APR would have had inconsistencies. Our contracts are safe, secure and functioning 100% as intended. The programming has been updated on the dApp UI, so the confusion doesn’t persist.

An example to illustrate the issue: Let’s say the APR displayed was 177, and the user had a 3-year timelock, giving them a 3X boost modifier. The expectation should be 531 in rewards. But that wasn’t what was received; what was received was 300. This is because the Base APR used in the calculation isn’t 177; it’s 100. Understandably this is not an ideal situation. Our preference would have been to have (and always have) a flawless rollout. However, since the APR is designed to fluctuate, and at all times, this issue was still well above the promised 50% floor for the first period- as far as errors go, we’ll take this one over the alternatives. As a reminder to the community, the APR is a dynamic number designed to fluctuate and drop over time. The % is primarily based on how many users have deposited their HEC into the plan and how many farms are operating during the plan. Since the amount of rewards emitted each period is fixed, only the APR can change to keep the plan balanced. Our deepest apologies to the community; we know this is an inconvenience. Rest assured, the contracts are operating as they should, and no user has lost out on rewards.

Dear Hectorians, We’ve had lots of reports about the fact that the collateral factor for wsHEC was set to 0 right after the ending of the rebases last Tuesday. We can understand this has brought some inconveniences and we’ve been in talkas with OLA since then to find a proper solution.

First the explanation why OLA set the collateral factor for wsHEC back to 0:

They have set the collateral back to 0, because the rebase was stopped and thus the index of wsHEC also. Which could lead to a price problem regarding wsHEC, therefor security measures needed to be taken. A new price oracle will be written which multiplies the ‘old’mindex from wsHEC with the current price of the HEC/USDC pool on spooky. Then the collateral factor can be set back to what it was, and people can pay of their loans if they would like to do, and also withdraw their wsHEC from the Institute if that is preferred.
At first it looked like this would be ready next Friday, but tonight we’ve received the message that the price oracle will be ready on Wednesday, an ETA will follow shortly we hope.

Then we also talked about the option to create a farm for owsHEC in the emission plan so people that have used wsHEC as collateral also could farm with their owsHEC for the shortest locking period (so there’s the least chance of getting into problems), but OLA stated that this isn’t possible to do. This is due to the fact that if (o)wsHEC is used as collateral in the Institute the assets will be locked into your wallet, so loans can be paid off if needed. And in the case of a liquidation, then there always will be the assets in the Institute to pay off the debt.

We are exploring the possibility to create a kind of wrapped token that can be used in the emission plan, which then will not get HEC rebases every day but will grow regarding an index just like wsHEC did with the rebase function.

We're thrilled to announce that we're fulfilling our promise: shortly we will be listed on Bitfinex, our first Tier 1 exchange!

Making it onto a Tier 1 exchange is a massive milestone in developing any crypto project. Presence on a Tier 1 is essential for the health of a protocol, and it provides access to users with broader portfolios, significant exposure, legitimacy and accessibility. It's finally live! We're so thrilled, Hectorians, that the Emission Plan is fully operational! If you have not already unstaked your sHEC from the "Stake" page on the dApp, we recommend you do it ASAP! Moving the tokens over to the Emission Plan ensures no additional loss of rewards!

The "Stake" page will be available until October 31st, after which you will need to contact the team and get assistance to retrieve your HEC!

The Emission Plan: Some important information
 
👉 To earn rewards from the Emission plan a user must timelock. However, after that time lock expires, the tokens are still considered “Staked” and will continue to earn rewards with the APR boost modified awarded to them based on the timelock length. At this point the HEC can be unstaked at anytime. 
 
For example: A user can timelock for 7 days (the lowest offered) and earn the APR Boost of XX%. After the 7 days their tokens remain in the farm until manually removed and would earn rewards using the same APR boost of XX%. 
 
👉 APR Boost vs APR :
The APR of the emissions plan is a constantly changing number, based on the period of the plan and several other factors.
The APR Boost is the modifier assigned to a user based on the length they choose to lock and could be unique to each deposit. While the APR can and is supposed to fluctuate over the course of the plan, each APR Boost is designed to remain steady.

👉 Users who hold wsHEC will need to both unwrap wsHEC to sHEC and unstake sHEC to HEC before they can enter the Emission Plan.
 
👉 Users who are using their wsHEC as collateral against a loan in Institute: there is no problem waiting if it is not an advantageous time to liquidate your collateral. You might suffer some reward loss in the meantime, however you will be able to unstake and unwrap your HEC later, even after the "Stake" Page is removed on the 31st. Do not feel pressure to pull yourself out of a position before you are ready too.
 
👉 Each time you timelock a batch of HEC, an ERC-721 NFT is minted that represents your timelocked tokens.
 
👉 When your timelock has run out and you unstake your tokens from the plan, the NFT is dissolved. 
 
👉 These NFTs are not soulbound.
