Mr. Pinker should have lent his time to making the project he oversees more stropping in relation to rivals but we did not see this. All we saw is that Pinker got a job offer from gay magazine in Berlin to face a fashion news journal for gay people. Only this has Pinker done to spatter around the word about the HiveNet project. But at what cost? Are you sure you pander to right audience with you face as cover of that journal?

What happens to the network if suddenly all the electricity is cut in or the main network holders cease to function? What will the main work of the entire network be based on?

That's one of the aspects that makes HiveNet so secure.
When the electricity at a traditional computing center is gone, the center ceases to function.

HiveNet is a distributed network and will have participants who are spread all over the world.
Therefore, electricity shortages in single regions will not affect HiveNet.

How will the minimum amount of electricity needed to operate the center be calculated?
What will happen if electricity comes from only one source? I want to understand the work of the project in more detail. Thanks.

Have you been released from prison yet? I dont get why u post here like nothing happened. Can u elaborate who and why would cut down electricity? Are we talking Apocalypse scenario, or a new Trump's move to defer the spread of the virus by creating artificial power outages across the continent wherefore banks, planes, computer networks and internet cease to be useful or operable?

Hehe, you are right. Even amid covid19 there is no need to think about apocalyptic scenarios Cheesy

im looking for high cpu compute power for long term.

in case of old g3900 celeron, i need 8000 of them for 3-6month.

Better cpus also work, but less amount.

Can i use hivenet to get this task done ?

Ready to pay higher than mining costs.

Hi there, generally that's possible.
Though, currently HiveNet is only available as a testnet, which means that only limited use cases can be offered at the moment.
Please send more details about what you want to do with the computing power via email to [email protected] and the team will get back to you, whether we can serve you already.

Maybe there is a misunderstanding.
In HiveNet, computer owners like you and me can rent out their unused computing power.
So HiveNet doesn't use a computing center like that.

This is very interesting, a similar system looks very decentralized. I am only concerned about the fact that with insufficient power coming from users, the system can stop its activities.

So far we learned through our tests and feedback from the community that a lack of power from computer owners is very unlikely.

HiveNet is to shy to make a post they've filmed a "HiveNet Alpha Software Installation and Use Guide" Smiley
Video can be found on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vj2SjSSqmlg. Hope it will help someone.

I'm sure I will find some free time during lockdown to test it.

Oh my... you are right. I thought we had posted it here already.  Shocked
Thank you for pointing it out  Smiley
Yes, we created an installation and use guide for the HiveNet alpha software, which can be found in our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/HiveNet

The computing power that you provide will be used by paying customers.
These customers use the computing power for their cloud computing tasks.

The value from the calculator wouldn't be earned in 1 hour, but within one year if you used the HiveNet client for the given number of hours per day.

Based on my computation if you run it on 12 hours daily non stop  and you are going to earn more than 400 annually that's roughly $1 to $1.50 daily not really bad as long as it will not harm your computer, passive income if you have other activities online but not worth if you just rely on this platform.

There is no notable impact on the computers lifetime when running tasks, as long as you haven't overclocked it or otherwise use it outside of the manufacturer's specifications.

Hello HiveNet, could you please give a little description of your calculator.

What is Hours/Day ? If I select 1, does it mean my device will work 1 hour a day ? According to it, my gaming notebook generate a profit on almost 34 US dollars a day, while working for 1 hour. Even if it will work for a 24h day, $34 with low power consuming notebook is an amazing result.

Hi there,
it means that if you use HiveNet for 1 hour every day, you would earn about 34 USD per year.

This all sound good in written form but translating it into actual reality is often the problem, I particularly don't take such flamboyant comment seriously because in this business you come across all this similar bold talk but non has been able to deliver, $34 to be earned in 1hour is alot considering the way crypto operates, and if for some reason this is achievable then I can't imagine the number of people who would want to be a part of this,
Although I haven't read your wp but may I ask where the money will be coming from to cover this?

I hope your project lives up to it's potential, features are all good potential to its users are great, it all comes down to marketing the project and getting it adopted by many users and those the project wants to target, it's better to launch a campaign I read the mainet is going to launch on the fourth quarter but only a few people know this project.

Thank you Smiley
HiveNet's community is growing quickly as our marketing team puts in quite some effort.
If you like HiveNet, it would be great if you would also spread the word  Smiley
