There seems to be a problem with the getblocktemplate call since the fork:

HOdlcoin/src/hodlcoin-cli getblocktemplate
error: {"code":-1,"message":"CreateNewBlock(): TestBlockValidity failed"}

Any chance you can fix that ?

Why are you keeping your pool open?  I thought you were smarter than that.

Huh ? Why not ? It's just a slot on the server, it doesn't take up much resources, I can let it run for years and it won't bother me.

If people want to mine, let them mine.

Fuzzbawls block explorer down after fork?

Looks that way - new chain is running fine though - low hash and a good time to mine if you have some hash power to throw at it.

It has been fun but at least temporarily hodl.blockquarry.com will be shutting down mining during this fork.  We may start back up after we investigate a few options but in the meantime I recommend using Suprnova.cc for mining, ocminer has been great to work with.

We are on the new wallet and will be leaving it running so people can still get their mined coins transferred.

Thanks

Im all updated wallet. cpu miner on waiting for the big F. Whats the probability of the wallet miner hitting a block now with a normal computer? Fish

Bit difficult to judge what miner and pool behavior will be around the fork although hash rate does appear to be declining in advance of the fork. It's about 8 hours out now.

There are 25 low difficultly blocks just after the fork to help reset diff in the event of a big diff change, so if you're mining around this time, you have a better chance of picking up some easy blocks as the diff will be lower, and the old version 1 miners won't be able to mine. In the longer term, I think network hashrate is likely to fall and make it easier for normal users.
Well it was dropping down. now its rebounding. the People love Hodl. They gonna still mine the hell out of it. I can tell already. Fish

Things seem quiet in here eerily a little too quiet Undecided

Sounds like the opinion is divided between the community considering the votes that were cast with HOdl coins...

I declare no confidence, a hung development pathway IMO.

No longer voting myself.  I have no confidence in the way voting is currently handled.

Hey fellow miners, unfortunately we have to close https://pool.hodlerama.com because of the hard fork, please switch over to the remaining pools and don't forget to withdraw your remaining coins !

Was a pleasure and we've learned a lot, stay tuned for more pools !

Can you set your withdraw policy to permit withdrawal of fractions so we can withdraw the remainders?

Edit:  Ty, got everything.

I think the best answer to this hard-fork is p2pool. When a block is mined, the reward is paid direct to each miner. The ability to operate in a trust-less manner allows p2pool to bypass any concerns regarding future pool payouts. I PMed FreeTrade back at the beginning of May about my desire to work on a p2pool solution, but he ignored me. At the time, I also wrote a p2pool related post in this thread to gauge interest, but nobody responded.

no, p2pool is not good too:
dev limits the coinbase transaction output to one address: https://github.com/HOdlcoin/HOdlcoin/blob/HODLCoin0.11.3/src/main.cpp#L1977

I understand. I am pretty sure that is an easy fix.

If you guys can work this out & give it a workaround with the way in2tactics assumes you can then HOdl could actually survive.

This was similar to the downfall of SpreadCoin and also will linger HOdl in that state if pools/p2pool aren't in play with the concerns everyone is having.

I just tucked away another 3000 nuts for next winter. Low prices are good.
