Hey just received a strange transaction, http://imgur.com/a/Y46PI I never told anyone my hodl address and don't know who sent this, it's normal? Can be some malicious attempt to do something?

Another HIP for your consideration - HIP002

Not urgent by any means, but I wanted to get it out of my head and put it up for discussion.

Looks like a good idea as long as those fractional coins are retired instead of redistributed. Since you are looking at ways to optimize size/speed what about implementing some of the ideas as in Pascal coin that do away with the need to keep the full historical record ledger?

Good to see active development to make the coin even better, I wonder how long this diamond in the rough will remain rough in the eyes of the community, some nice recent action on coinexchange.io.

How to check if I am on good chain?
Is using 3.0.1 sufficient or I have to do something more?

I assume you're solo mining.  Easiest and simplest way is to compare your balance using block explorer.

Here the link... http://www.fuzzbawls.pw/explore/HOdlcoin/index.php

Enter your wallet address on the search box and compare the balance shown on the block explorer with those in your wallet.
If they are the same then you're on the right chain.

you can also go to the debug window in your wallet, console tab and type
getblockhash 268733
it should show:
000000777edbdae1eff3cad5b2917dbe883267a17ea1b190f21f565ef368b3bd

It does show that string.
What does it mean?

Where do I find my wallet address to put into the block explorer?

If I am on the wrong chain, what do I do to get on the right one?

You're on the correct chain.

In your wallet -- click file tab then choose receiving address from drop down menu.

Do nothing... you're on the correct chain.

Thank you

Why did I get so many (3722) HodlCoins? I mine with a laptop (67 H/S). I also mine with a PC (170 H/S). There I got after 2 days 50 Hodlcoins.

In the receiving item I have several addresses. I assume that the HodlClient shows a view over all adresses.

1) Finding a mining block only yields 50 coins, so you did not received 3722 coins from mining.
2) my guess is either someone sent you by accident 3722 coins or one of your term deposits matured and payed out the earned interest.

I've sent 3 deposits recently to coinexchange.io.

They are being received and confirmed, they are usable (exchangeable), and they are recorded in the blockchain according to fuzzbawls.

The hash of that specified block to see if i'm not the right chain matches perfectly in the debug window.

The balance of the transactions definitely gets taken from my wallet.

And yet, those transactions do not exist as far as my wallet transaction records are concerned.

I have gone so far as to delete everything except the wallet file out of the roaming directory and let it rebuild.

On 6/7/17 I sent 1 HODL as a test to coinexchange and that transaction dutifully shows up in my transaction log.  The 3 deposits in question were sent after that date.

Any suggestions?

hi wisebc, sounds similar to issue #15, can you add the transactionid's to that issue on github ?
