How can it be NiceHash? Optiminer's pool doesn't have a high enough difficulty for NH.

nicehash is also a pool , the cpuminer they have supports the hodl algo.

I don't think that bots are causing the increase in diff.
Otherwise the overall network hashrate would be far higher. But I assume that we see a rising interest in this coin. This can also be seen on the exchanges where the rate and volume is rising as well.

its coming out of nicehash...

The interest that HODL originally placed in the wallet was far greater than the interest in mining. As the time went on, the interest rate at one stage was greatly reduced, and now the profit of mining is higher than the interest rate?

As of today if you were to "lock" 100 HOdl coin for a year that would return back approximately 150 HOdl coin. While you're right that the term deposit reward has been gradually dropping since the very beginning it is still very very good indeed. If you take a hard look at many other staking coins you'll be very hard pressed to locate one that will turn 100 coins into 150 coins in 365 days.

Mining profits are highly variable and also ever changing. Many factors impact mining profits from network hashrate to coin value and electrical costs and more... It would be difficult to give a generic comparison of mining profits vs. staking profits on HOdl coin.

How do you vote? I thought I was supposed to cut n paste the words in red and then add my hodl address after, but I get "use the hodl app to sign" error.
you paste those words and your hodl wallet address in the wallet under sign it produces a big line of words n crap paste that back under the vote

Thanks!

Also, anyone notice massive drop in mining results per hashrate over the last few days? Or is it just on suprnova? Looks like maybe a lot of bots came into the space? Just curious if anyone has a more reasoned take on it.

Yes I've noticed a drop in mining results that corresponds to the increase in total network hashrate and I would say that is to be expected.

Now in terms of are bots causing this increase I have no way to know but I would surmise it's not an impossible possibility!

start the wallet and go to the file menu, you will see a submenu called "sign message"
open it, and it will have a place where you can cut and paste the words too. select one
of your wallet addresses ( the one with the most coins in it)  then press
the "sign message" button and those results need to be cut and pasted back to the website.

Hodl going over a penny each this afternoon has to help the coin's image some!

I love to see that, I hope it continues.
