stop undercutting each others prices retards, everyone put them up together because people are paying what is being asked now so why lower it?

if you think the current price is sustainable in an open market it is you who are the retard. Better undercut and dump while the cutting is good dude.

So wait, this is democratic?
Only the ppl who get a block (the guys with the most cpu-power) get to set the block reward.
Clearly - they will up it as much as possible for the time being to up their rewards while there are no mining pools and then drop it later to increase scarcity.

Who wouldn't?

someone who already has an assload of coins from IPO, VOTE 1024 for the masses and not for Elite!!!!  Cheesy

How so? I have 0 coins as of right now. Think about the system for a moment - I was commenting on that.
How does the voting work? and how is it democractic? It benefits only the large farms - the pools won't be up for hours.

anyone heard of this exchange before??

Hello All,

I would like to announce that the HVC/BTC market has been opened on www.cryptoaltex.com

If have any questions please join me on irc #cryptoaltex on freenode or submit a ticket at https://cryptoaltex.freshdesk.com

https://www.cryptoaltex.com/index.php?page=trade&market=16

Thanks and Happy Trading!

Gordon, we opened 2mondays ago.  Our first coin was BlackCoin and we received a huge amount of volume from it the first 72 hours we're open. If you want references for the exchange just search the forums, have a ton of happy customers Smiley

I used CryptoALTeX numerous times trading Blackcoin and the experience was terrific. I wouldn't hesitate to use them for HVC, great exchange!

This "democratic" system was very poorly thought out.
You forgot to level the initial playing field. It's democratic sure - ......maybe...one day - when the rest of the ppl catch up to those who got a HUGE head start - but by then they will have all the power and such...but hey - that's democracy right?

I am mining about from 2 hours and i got 0.00 in my wallet ?

Anyone has idea why ?

Starting with /usr/local/bin/cpuminer-heavycoin -a heavy -v 32 -o 192.168.1.1:7202 -O user:password

you can start by lowering your vote to 1. with 700, you won't get any unless you are mining with lots and lots and lots of CPUs.

Since this uses CPU only can you mine it at the same time as using your GPUs for another coin?

What good is it to have HVC on exchanges if we the miners do not have any to exchange?

DOES THIS WORK  FOR YOU?

MAC Wallet Daemon (not QT)

This should work on Macs with 64bit. Tested on Mavericks.

http://uploaded.net/file/g2gtt7rt

If it helped feel free to donate some coins Wink

HVC: H6g5JLRrLbKrksLSTXNuysQrFSu2ietmTi
BTC: 124KevnvG9H2MXGY8yK25dWev1FD5ACdgn

Not having any luck with this... can you post some instructions on usage? Otherwise OSX wallet-qt still isn't working, and the heavycoind just says that rpc is configured wrong.

Well, that message means it's working.

Here's how to make it work:
type the following with your username (shown when your run heavycoind)

nano "/Users/YOURUSERNAMEASABOVE/Library/Application Support/Heavycoin/heavycoin.conf"

Then enter the following (copy&paste works):

rpcuser=heavycoinmacuser
rpcpassword=this!is!just!a!simple!password
daemon=1
addnode=172.245.221.171
addnode=94.102.53.183
addnode=198.52.200.43
addnode=node01.heavycoin.cc

then hit "CTRL+O" then "ENTER" and then "CTRL+X"

then start the daemon again with (you have to be in the folder of the heavycoind file with the Terminal Application)

./heavycoind

check for connections and current block/difficulty: ./heavycoind getinfo
turn on mining: ./heavycoind setgenerate true <- turns on mining with full power
check mining: ./heavycoind getmininginfo
check if blocks were found: ./heavycoind listtransactions
check current vote: ./heavycoind getvote
set vote for 768: ./heavycoind setvote 768
