Guys,

still struggling with heavycoin cgminer under bamt, mining does not start.

I took cgminer.conf from zhpool help section, there is "kernel" : "heavy, heavy, heavy", in the config, but it looks like my heavy cgminer (code from https://github.com/reorder/cgminer_skein) does not like it: "Invalid config option --kernel: Invalid parameter to set_kernel".

I debugged a bit the set_kernel function in https://github.com/reorder/cgminer_skein/blob/skein/driver-opencl.c it seems that USE_HEAVY is not defined in the project. Anything I should do at compile time?
(currently simply using ./autogen.sh --enable_opencl then make)

thanks

How many cards do you have?

"heavy, heavy, heavy" would be for 3 cards

"heavy,heavy" for 2, etc

bitcoin seems to be recovering so i'm sure all the alts will recover, HVC more than most hopefully because it's better than most. Soon it will be business as usual. The problem is nobody wants to part with their bitcoin for fear that they will a) lose money if it keeps depreciating and they get rid in a downtrend, b) because to trade it for other alts means their continual downtrend linked to bitcoin and c) the knock on effect is very low volume which stagnates recovery and leads idiots to panic sell for fear that the whole crypto market may dissappear into nothing of value.

Not yet. You can't give a clear answer before 15 April.

sweet if we are cryptsy too then this is a very good sign as to the perceived legitimacy of heavycoin in the altcoin world.

Traveling in subspace
Mad, with this diff it is rather pointless to be mining. Gone up way too fast.
Shame
Actually the diff is about 25% lower than it was at its' highest point.

Mightyshibe, try adding the word "pause" at the end of your .bat file. It should stop and show you what error is causing it to close.
I'm under bamt which is linux based. I'm not using any script file for now, just trying to run mining from terminal to debug my issue. When I use the original (scrypt) cgminer with a basic command line, something happens, however, with my compiled cgminer (heavy) it exits without saying anything. This is propably why mining does not start with the bamt scripts.
I'll try to recompile, but this is strange.

Can anybody (maybe best would be Christian Buchner) advice what are most stable Nvidia Geforce drivers to work with CCMINER35.EXE? I use the latest ones 335.23 with a card EVGA Geforce GTX 750Ti 1176Mhz. The card was working fine and stable from beginning. Then I started to overclock it with PrecisionX utility and it also kept running stable for 24 hours. Then suddenly it started to crash and I always had to restart whole PC because when I restarted just CCMiner after it crashed, it ran only at low speeds like 5Mh. Normally 750Ti runs at 12-13Mh. So I started to decrease GPU clock offset in PrecisionX and CCMiner just kept crashing after couple of hours. I tried 32-bit and 64-bit version, always the same result. Now I resetted GPU clock back to default (1176 Mhz) and it again crashed after cca 12 hours. I'm using Windows7 64-bit Enterprise.

Any ideas what is causing those crashes? Too new Nvidia driver or some bug in CCMiner? I'm connecting to 1gh using VIP password, could be this a problem? Maybe GTX 750Ti with 12-13Mh is just too slow for HIGH DIFF, but I don't believe this would cause CCMiner to crash. Can maybe Logmein installed on the computer cause the Nvidia driver to crash?

I'll use crypto to buy a Fiat
Getting almost all dead shares for ZHPool with my 560 Ti (1/22 Valid). Seems to be an issue since the new layout update. Any ideas? I'm using ccminer20 (v0.5) and it was working prior to the update.

99.9% of our price dip is due to btc. The other .1% is a combo of dumping for mining cost and probably weak hands. You missed the part (while on vacation) where we were in the green and no one else was Smiley

On a more positive note I need everyone's help with bringing more awareness and real world value to Heavycoin outside of the one merchant we have.

Everyone these 2 things will make a world of difference, if you are an IPO holder you literally should have already done both of these. Strength in numbers people, I'm a tiny coin holder in comparison to most of you but I believe in the dev team and this coin. We are at a pivotal point where the number of coins released is making it very difficult for people to see the diamonds in the rough like our coin is.

Give HVC what it deserves head to both links, tell your friends and family about it. Onward and upward all!!

If we were in the green when nobody else was thats a good sign! Wish i was an ipo holder.. i just jumped on 3 weeks ago or so.. i initially dumped a bit and have been holding ever since.. I got electricity bills coming up so i may pay with fiat so i dont loose my hvc position Sad

Im still chasin roi on my hardware with about a $1k to go so its a tough sell to pay in fiat but i may just have to,  as selling the lil hvc i have looks like its just not in my interest at least not at this price!

I left the multipool dance to go all hvc!!!  Hope price recovers so i can sell a bit and hold the rest. Sucks when you have electricity bills and the price tanks! Your left to ponder selling large amounts at ridiculous rate Sad
