Here is our new CEO update

I am pleased to announce that today we closed a new sprint 🤗🤗🤗. As usual, I wanted to write this short email to give you a quick overview of 2gether´s evolution, anticipate the new features coming up live, and the most relevant ones that we are working on.

2gether evolution highlights

  • We have started working on the issuance of the 2GT token with our Maltese VFA Agent. It is a tedious process but definitely worth it as it will create a lot of confidence and hence value in our token. We believe we can finalize it (have our token issued as a VFA) in 2 or 3 months.
  • In parallel, we have opened negotiations with several exchanges to have our token listed as soon as we finalize the pre-sale and the ICO.
  • This week we almost hit 2,000 founders, a relevant community already enjoying 2gether services. The amount raised in 2GT tokens from our community is €270k and steadily growing (remember this is neither the only nor the most relevant source of funding of 2gether)
  • We also welcomed our first founders in Malta and Cyprus, our community now extends to the 19 countries of the Eurozone. 🙌🙌🙌

New features coming up live

  • Tomorrow we launch the referral program, whenever you refer 2gether to a friend, you and your friend will earn 2GT tokens. We have set the collaborative challenge to capture 1,000 new founders in the next seven days, if we hit the target, I will personally invite all the founders who want to drop by 2gether´s offices to a nice cold beer. 🍻
  • We are incorporating a new coin into our App, one of the most established ones, check it out in the App.
  • We have made relevant improvements in the iOS version of the app, those with iPhones will see what I mean.

What next?

  • We are working on completing our collaborative growth engine, with two relevant initiatives coming up soon:
  • Founder+ (limited) program, with incredible benefits to users that hold 20,000 2GT.
Ambassador program, coded and self-regulated program for engaged founders to spread our word in the social networks.
  • We are enabling deposits and withdrawals of funds to and from 2gether accounts, so that users can move their funds freely in, out and within 2gether´s environment.
  • We are designing the 2GT boardroom, where founders will be able to monitor and manage their 2GT holdings, track 2gether´s performance in real time, and vote on decisions, among other really cool features.
  • We will keep working on our continuous strengthening of 2gether´s security and control environment. During this sprint, in particular, we have started to perform recurrent security audits with an expert third party.

I sincerely hope that you are as excited as I am regarding 2gether´s evolution. We have a fantastic team of developers that makes this intense activity possible, and we love to share it with you. Stay tuned and come back to us with any suggestions you may have, we always consider them in our product meetings.

All the best,

Ramón
2gether CEO

Is 2GT Token like company share? Token owners will get profits as dividends?

The 2GT token does not entitle its holder to rights commonly given to actual share holders. So, no dividends. However, a large percentage of the revenues generated through your personal activity in the app (e.g. buying a product from a fintech in the upcoming marketplace) will be given back to you. The potential operating margins are substituted by 2GT incentives which are bought from the market, so there are direct rewards to whoever creates value! We gladly refer to our tokenomics paper which you can find on our website https://www.2gether.global

Spending small amounts of crypto is great, but it also entails quite a hassle when it comes to analyzing all the taxable events...
Yes, the tax question is a relevant one and not the clearest one, plus it might differe per country. Nevertheless, in our understanding, according to a European Union Court of Justice (ECJ) ruling in 2015, crypto should be considered as any other means of payments from a tax perspective, hence spending crypto through a Visa card should not be a taxable event. Taxation should only apply if you divest your holdings into FIAT or into another coin, making a capital gain (or a loss to deduct it). Please note this is no tax advice and we acknowledge it is a complex matter.

It is definitely a taxable even as long as you realize a gain, there is no doubt about that. If you buy BTC for 8,000 and then use it when it is worth 9,000, you realize a gain that is taxable.

What if you are in Europe, you buy pounds, you go to the UK in a couple of months, the pound increases in value and you spend it, would that be a taxable event? It wouldn´t, so that´s the point when you consider it a means of payment. Now, again, we are not prescriptive on this, that is our understanding today and we are studying day after day, considering the new information and positionings available.

Hello,

what about buy limits, last week I was able to purchase 100€ of BTC, this week it's telling me that the minimum amount of BTC I can purchase is 0.02, which is around 150€.

If this 0.02 limit continues, and BTC rises, it's going to be impossible to top-up my card with "small" amounts

Hello Shodan, thank you for your reply. This is a known issue, and we are working on improving that aspect of the service! Please send an email to [email protected] or shake your phone when you are in the app to send a report, it really helps!

Already did, and on the Telegram channel (admin also confirmed it's a bug)

Hi, this is Ramón, CEO of 2gether, I just bought 0,002 BTC (~€14) and it worked fine. Maybe you want to try again, make sure you have enough euro balance.

Investigating a bit further, you can indeed buy any amount above 0,002 BTC. However, when you try to buy less, there is a typo on the error message in the English version, indicating that you cannot buy any amount lower than 0,02 BTC. We will solve it shortly. Let us know if you manage to buy the desired amount, and if not, please come back to us again. I hope this helps. Cheers!

I like the update in the app. Are you considering raising withdrawal limits in the future?

Hi Andronikos, in the future withdrawal limits could be raised in accordance to regulations for customers who pass additional KYC.

Work in progress Smiley
