Very wise decision, particular using test ICN for those new to Ethereum. The only problem with the post is the use of the word Irregardless.

I think we decided wise.

For test-it contract we decided 1 ICN + ur original decimals because some thought we're not ready with distribution. Decimals should prove the opposite.

I admit, I was short regarding preparing investors with step by step instructions. However, we'll fix that before launch. I'm literally getting some phone calls from local people of how to set up 2FA. Now you know where we stand:)

Interesting. I have much to learn about Ethereum.

No plan survives contact with reality, and the reality is that posts here demonstrate many / most investors are not ready.  This decision shows very wise flexibility, especially since ETH itself is in a very turbulent and fluid state itself in the past ten days.

Contract will unlock 12pm CET. With exchanges in touch I wanna reach agreement to start trading like an hour or two after. So all can transfer to exchanges if they feel so. And then trading starts. Same pole position for all.

That's what the last 10 days were for...

3500 investors now have some time to figure out how to deploy an ETH wallet and do a practice run that won't lose all their tokens if they mess up.

In order to be fair to all the investors, would it be possible to delay the exchange launching say 1 day. In that way, everyone has equal chance to race to exchanges.

We all are awaiting the final outcome of all of this, and all the dev team will provide answers to possible ICONOMI today and there is no delay in the launch of ICN token, to be distributed within a period of less than 48 hours, so we wait for some time to come ..

ICN tokens will be available for transfer Tuesday ~12:00 CET

Get ready for Tuesday’s availability of ICN tokens: update your wallets, check your ETH addresses and prepare yourselves using ICONOMI test-it contract.

It is decided - on Tuesday ~12:00 CET we will issue ICN tokens. Exact block-height will be communicated on Monday 12:00 CET here on reddit, btt and twitter. We'll also mail investors. Generally, Tuesday morning is the best day to deploy tokens in terms of our technical team disposal and support if you will need it. Our full team will be there for you.

For fastest possible assignment of tokens Ethereum network should be as stable as possible. Right now network capacity is around 3 times smaller than when the network is stable. If the network instability will persist we can expect that all tokens will be assigned in around 15 minutes, it could be also more if there will be more network load at the time of coin issuing. Irregardless of deployment of token on Monday and that assignment of tokens will start on Monday, tokens will be available to transfer on Tuesday. Please note: Monday 12pm CET will also be cut off time for updating ETH address for ICN assignment.

Recently there were many updates of wallets. Only the latest updates solves Ethereum syncing issues. It seems that we have different kinds of investors with different levels of knowledge and familiarity with tools. Certainly those with less knowledge and experience need more time to prepare themselves. We will persistently remind our investors about the necessary steps to deal with ICN tokens.
I have to admit we have overestimated our investor’s familiarity with the tools needed. This is related to the use of ETH address in wallets and exchanges. It seems we have lot’s of newcomers, fiat investors, that need much more instructions and step-by-step guidance with additional alerts that need to be added.

On Thursday, October 13 for the same purpose a test-it contract will be deployed on mainnet where every investor will get 1 ICN + actual decimals of your ICN. So for example if you have 69323.0822184235 ICN you will receive 1.0822184235 ICN on your ICONOMI test-it contract for you to check access with your private keys. We have decided to do that for all those users new in crypto to prepare themselves for Tuesday, October 18. With the availability of real ICN contract, the test-it contract will be self destructed.

Different computing operating executed on nodes in the ETHEREUM network require gas which is effectively how you pay to use computing power on the network. Each type of instruction has a fixed cost. Some intense operations that can slow a computer/node down had very low costs. So an attacker could include a transaction in a block that pounded the nodes and make them run really slow for very little cost.

As a result the foundation recommended limiting how much gas clients/nodes allow valid transactions to use to 1.5M per block. The proposed hard fork fixes the misbalanced cost to computing price ratio, so it would cost too much for an attacker to bother to spam the network.

I'm not sure. The person saying that it will be postponed to the 13th doesn't look like he's part of the team.
