HI, I started with IFC some days ago: downloaded and installed v 1.8.5, db is sync but I get a max of 8 connections and can't do solo mining ( it says "mining IFC at 0 hashes per second").

Any tip and suggestions?

Sounds like you didn't configure it correctly. Did you create an infinitecoin.conf file with the necessary information, as well as fill in the login info, IP, and port number in the mining GUI in the client correctly? There is an example of this in the OP. Also http://www.infinitecointalk.org has a lot more info for you.

i've waited for over a week for the "confirmation email" from cryptsy, so I can do something with my coins.

I'm tired of waiting on cryptsy.

i'll mine something else, until another exchange accepts ifc.
I'm sorry but if no one accepts it, you can't do anything with it, if you can't do anything with it, then it isn't worth mining.

I'm not the only one, either.

However, I am glad that someone, may finally get a handle on this coin, and it's blockchain problems, it has had for a long while.

How many forks can a coin take until it is all forked up?

Maybe it is the same number as the number of shills it takes to shill a coin? The network is fine. Just because cryptsy doesn't know how to run an exchange doesn't mean INFINITECOIN is the one with issues. The issues you are crying about are over... move along now, back under the bridge you go...

Have the message start bits been changed from 1.8.0 to 1.8.5?

I can't get P2Pool to connect to the P2P port of the client and this typically happens when the "magic bits" aren't correct.

Ever since I upgraded to 1.8.5 I have not been able to connect.

Thank you very much for the linux client!

Is it possible copy db from windows client 1.8.0 to linux 1.8.5? Because I'm getting an error on start.

I dont use a client my self. My Coins are on Exchanges, because at the moment i dont have enough coins worth to secure them in cold storage.

I hope Cryptsy gets their new servers running.

mmmh, not for me, what has been changed?

Bad nodes are being excluded allowing you to find real nodes faster. This is why you should update if you haven't already.

If you ever have problems with Exploretheblocks, wait 3 minutes then try again.  It does stick every now and then (this is not related to InfiniteCoin itself) so I've recently set it to stop itself and restart every 3 minutes.  It takes less than a second to restart itself.

http://exploretheblocks.com:2750/ doesnt work. @TECSHARE Is there any way to find a tx by searching the address like in blockchain.info?

Has anyone else noticed the network transactions are speeding up now? Smiley

Yes!

I just started mining it on p2p and transactions are very fast.
I also withdrawed some from cryptsy and it was also extremey fast in my wallet. It took only 2 minutes!

Well done!

The OSX client was incorrectly labeled before with the wrong link. The correct OSX and Daemon files are now listed. Sorry if you had any trouble because of this.
