Excited for the future with MaidSafe!!
TEST 17 was awesome and we're constantly seeing new things come out on their platform.
Alpha 2 will be the most exciting phase yet, and it's coming very very soon!!!

I would argue that is not a crash, its a correction. Not only that the market never makes a perfect V bottom.
Regardless at the end of the day it doesn't matter, trading and investing is personal to you. If your MAID portfolio size is keeping you up at night then thats a sign you need to cut some of it. My personal trading style is more for the long term profits of this technology.
I run a business, trade options, and invest in crypto. I personally don't have time to day trade crypto, a lot of people are making big money doing it, but its a great way to loose a lot of money fast.
Look at warren buffet, he has never day traded anything.

dont have the time or will to daytrade either.
dont wanna sell anything. Learned a hard lesson selling Ethereum and Ripple far too soon.

Maidsafe is the most ambitious project in all of crypto which makes it so disappointing that development moves so slow on the project. I understand the scope of the project will take time to implement but my main worry is that the altcoin/crypto market will collapse before safenet comes to fruition.
Think of the .com days, a lot of things did crash, and im sure a 99.9% of the coins here will disappear. There were plenty of .com websites that made a fortune for stock traders but were all just full of smoke. If you believe in maidsafe as a technology, which is my personal appeal, then this will survive the bubble and end up stronger on the other side.
Doesn't seem to be rebounding from the crash like other alts. Pretty worrying.

I mean just compare dev progress of Maidsafe to Shift
120ml cap vs 10ml cap and it seems to me that Shift is moving much faster along dev wise.

Yes, we're definitely getting closer to Alpha 2. It looks like they automated the "invite token" system (a protection against attackers) by using the forum and its trustlevels for it. So next step will probably be that it's open to all forum members. Next step after that should be alpha 2 then. But could take longer if they find some unknown bugs.

Nice update! TEST 17 now open to several hundred people. MaidSafe again got some new devs and workers. The company now has 22 employees.

In the coming days/week TEST 17 will be open for all. When everything is debugged and tested TEST 17 will become Alpha 2.
