Nice solution against the "account spammer" that abused the fact that Safecoin isn't implemented yet. I'm glad this was done with TEST 15. Now Alpha 2 will be more secure from a simple attack like that.
For those interested:
TEST 15 network is quite small (around 140 Vaults in total) as you need 600 KB./sec upload (which a lot of people don't have) to join as a Vault at the moment. Each chunk is stored 8 times. So when you upload 500 mb. to your account it's 4 GB. in total. Not really a problem though, but someone made a lot of accounts (several thousand) and filled them all up with data. The attacker couldn't crash the network though, it only got "full" and stayed online.
When Safecoin is implemented you need to pay a little for an account and you also need to pay to PUT (upload) data to the network. This attracts "Farmers" (people running Vaults) to the network as they can make money. So with Safecoin implemented a simple attack like this would be very close to impossible.

So far maidsafe has done better than most other scamcoins (I mean altcoins) in regards to price stability and appreciation. The Maidsafe team is also by far the best communicators and no other project comes close. I think eventually the project will succeed, maybe this year, next year, or in a few more years. It will happen very soon either way. I am a holder since ICO and my coins are not for sale.

No, you'll need to wait for Farming & Safecoin to be implemented. You can provide resources on TEST 15 at the moment just for the purpose of testing this stuff out.

It has very good support right now, sub 14K it's getting bought up. I'd be more concerned it crashes but hold and it will grow.

Hey, you're talking about speculation.What science has proved so far about that is:
Humans can't predict the future price 100% assured.
So the best answer for your question is: "only God knows..."
MaidSafe is a robust project with a good team backing it. It shall thrive...
P.s. my only concern is the indirect effect of the Bitcoin Block Size "Civil War" on Omni and it's results on this project as well...

Yes, MAID goes over the BTC blockchain using the OMNI protocol. So you store MAID on a BTC address. But don't ever do this on an exchange, they have special addresses for MAID.
And always make sure to be the owner of the BTC private key.
The BTC private key can be imported in the OMNI system. And if you use omniwallet, always make sure to download the backup file to be extra secure.
