You are right, in order to get credibility for their exchange they did an Airdrop and this will not help them to get a reputation because most of the people will sell their coin in the exchange if they don't keep any restriction to the people who have airdropped. Most of the people will not show interest in buying their tokens.

Exactly, this is marketing trick to make you buy more tokens by giving you locked tokens that you can't do anything with. But just check the price to see whether their marketing tactic works; at the beginning, value of those airdropped tokens was 500 USD and now value is 17 USD. Total fail.

While this one is only sended to few member and they made a selection who should recieve the rewards.

And even the locked time finish they cant use that tokens to sell they can only use that as transaction fees on that exchange.

We have to wait and see because we shouldn't get into the conclusion, recently they have airdropped the coins to people who are active in MEW wallets. Which they cannot use those coins until their exchange is launched, this is another good indication which they want to show their potential activity about the exchange developments.
