Hi kraken
Is there any reason my Kraken sepa withdrawal has had the status sending since friday afternoon?
Usually sepa withdrawals are withdrawn on the same day,
Does anyone else have this issue?

Hello,

It might be that the withdrawal came too late to be sent before the weekend and should arrive the following Monday.

Confirming that @kraken-elizabeth does in fact work for Kraken. There will be others as well coming in to help and I will confirm them too.

As always, you should only give out ticket numbers or public account IDs to anyone representing Kraken - we don't need and shouldn't ask for anything more, and definitely not any sensitive info like username, email, etc.

But anyway, round $1s solves the annoying bots problem anyway.
How should it?
Then the annoying bots are overbidding you with 1$. It does change nothing Cheesy

Well there must be a figure which would solve that problem and not hurt market.  If we are talking bitcoin and the price being in the thousands maybe the could round orders to $3 or $5 at most.  Bots cant jump in front of that without having to make a genuine rise of price can they Smiley

I'm struggling myself with such annoying bots. I already thought about several ways how to limit them, without hurting good market maker bots.
I found no solution yet =/
I'm only sure as long as there is only 1 or two of these annoying bots, this strategy is highly profitable.
If there are 10 or more of such bots, overbidding each other over and over again, it becomes less profitable and they are making hundreds of calls per minute.
So you could limit them with a smaller place/cancel order api limit. I suggest ~ 30 place/cancel calls per minute and per trading pair.

The problem is not the bots making trades. It's the bots making orders, building walls, then cancelling them, without any trade having been made. That doesn't bring the exchange any value.

Charge $0.01 or $0.001 per order placed (or order cancelled). Problem solved.

I dont believe it sorry. The biggest resource to tap is usually always human consciousness. The bot is just a watered down packaged form of that.  Bots in poker make money for sites also in terms of rake but overall they are just a drain on the whole economy. I cant be arsed to look into it but im guessing its the same and even if its not i just dont care to talk about it.

I know for me personally, when i trade i get fed up with bots, so i trade less because its just not fun to have some bot always skip in front of your order with 0.0000001 more etc. This is like playing a computer game where its rigged, just no fun at all.  My attention (so also money) just gets put elsewhere in life.
You are judging ALL Bots, just because of a stupid single bot-strategy, which I also hate (but unfortunaltey it is very profitable...).  Yes there are many bots that are overbidding unfortunately.
But that is still the minority. You do not even notice most of the bots.
Eg arbitrage and market maker bots. Without them the liquidty would only be 1/10 of what it is with them.
Did you see the big spreads/low liquidty during the past weeks on kraken? Alot of arbitrage and market maker bots had to stop, cause API and website were so unreliable.

So bots are extremly important, cause no human has the time to market make all those markets.

Ok fair enough, if they could change the allowed order price to round $1s on bitcoin that would stop them over bidding bots.  Yes i did see large spreads on kraken, its not been a problem for me at the moment, You can actually put orders either side and make profit this way if spreads are large which ends up with narrower spreads.  But anyway, round $1s solves the annoying bots problem anyway.

Im glad they reduced the amounts of decimal points allowed for trades. If it were my choice i'd have them reduced it further, im not sure we even need a $0.01 to bitcoin anymore and maybe not even $0.1.  Just round it all off to dollar and let the bots squirm. Why should bots get favour vs actual real human trades, bots offer less overall value imo.

Kraken is earning money from fees and traders that use bots generate a ton of volume compared to a casual customer.
Therefore it is completely understandable that they have to take into account how a business decision will affect
the bots that operate on their platform.

In terms of value a single active bot is probably preferable to hundreds of casual small time traders for Kraken Smiley

11 days waiting for any response. Account locked but no news since days ago. Nice amount of $ but can not do any trade or withdrawal.

No response by twitter or mail...I understand them need time, but I do not know if my funds are safe in kraken or someone hacked it.

Ticket #311114

Thanks

Kraken team tell me,them will solve in short time...

Waiting since 29 May

Thanks

Another week (50 days) and no more news about when kraken team release my account. I need do some movements, but always the answer: "We appreciate your patience"

Thanks

Two months later and I still can not access my funds.

I have sent, and responded to everything the kraken team has asked me, they tell me that everything is ok, and my funds secure, but now they tell me to wait 2 or 3 more weeks.

Honestly, this is not funny anymore.

I hope seriously, and that this will be solved at once.

Thank you.

3 months later and I still can not accessmy funds.

At this rate I will die before seeing my funds again.

I honestly expected a lot more seriousness when I started working with Kraken. I hope it will be resolved and I will write it here if that day comes.

All those who ask me privately, I will publicly answer if there is any newness in the case.

Thank you

Just received this email:

Quote
Effective Wednesday August 30 around 6 am UTC (Tuesday August 29 around 11 pm PT) we will be reducing the allowed decimal place precision for placing orders in all trading pairs. Below is a list of all trading pairs showing the new allowed number of decimal places for each pair. For example, 2 decimal places will be allowed for bitcoin-USD (XBT/USD), meaning that you can place an order for $4,350.01 but not $4,350.001. Trying to place an order with more decimal places than allowed will result in an error and the order will not be created. If the "%" option is used to specify order price, the result will be truncated (rounded down) to the maximum allowed number of decimal places.

Reducing the price precision will help reduce extraneous activity in the order books as traders continually jump in front of each other by a very small fraction, resulting in a higher volume of canceled (unfilled) orders. We have received many requests from clients for this reduction and it will help reduce load on the trade engine with more efficient order books.

Thank you for choosing Kraken, the trusted and secure digital assets exchange.

Seems like it's back online, but why are withdraws disabled? I get "Your current funding tier level (2) is insufficient for this functionality. Please further verify your account to increase your tier level and funding limits." when I try to go to withdraw. Level 2 should allow withdraws.  Huh

edit: oh now it worked

Please note that we are going offline for maintenance in about 1.25hrs (around 7pm UTC/12pm PT). We expect to be offline for about 1 hour.

Also, sorry I haven't been too active here recently but I've been very busy. Pretty soon we'll have more staff on bitcointalk to help out so we can be more responsive.

If you have been waiting a while to hear back from support you can escalate your ticket here:

It's a simple google form that only asks for your support ticket number, so it's safe.
