Hello everyone!
I'm from community team Lethean.
I would like to tell you a little about the current state of the project and some plans for the future.
The project is now run by a group of enthusiasts and volunteers from the community. This means that we have no direct financial interest in our activities, but we are motivated and important to us is the very idea that people should be able to say "NO!" corporate and government surveillance and online restrictions. We try to make the project as open as possible for the community and will gladly accept anyone who is close to our ideas into our team.
A bit of history
The development of dVPN was completed in early 2019, by the summer the community began to "ferment" due to the lack of new exchanges and marketing, and the subsequent decline in interest in the project. Here on the forum it is well reflected if you look at the last few pages. This, in turn, led to a loss of interest among developers in the project. As a result, the project team retired and transferred everything (well, almost everything) into the hands of a new team from the community. In principle, an unpleasant situation, but not a catastrophic one - the development of dVPN was completed, all systems were working properly and needed only support and payment for domains and hosting. But somehow it turned out that there were no developers in the team). Over the course of a year, a team from the community received almost all the rights to the infrastructure, streamlined resources, made a mobile application, and held several promotions. In March of this year, a team lead, Snider, appeared in the project. As far as I understand, he is from the team that created hashvault.pro, a very competent one
https://github.com/Snider.
So what do we have now?
- The project is managed and funded by the community.
- Created and properly registered non-profit organization in UK jurisdiction
https://suite.endole.co.uk/insight/company/13396632-lethean-ltd- Completely redesigned the project code, switched to Angular and Wails (this allows you to create unified applications for different operating systems, i.e. the release on Win, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS will be almost simultaneous).
- Created docker for easy deployment of exit node
- The lt.hn zone has been completely redeemed, now we can register third-level domains, for example store.lt.hn (here, by the way, you can purchase certificates for your site at good prices)
- Algorithm, still, CryptoNightR (cnR), more than 95% of coins issued in accordance with the schedule
- We trade on tradeogre.com, stex.com (KYC), bololex.com
What's in the near future?
- Release of new wallets (now in beta testing)
- Website revision
- Switching to RandomX and further following this algorithm (Monero releases a fork and every time we switch to the current version after them)
- Implementation of Matrix-8 control (see details
https://peakd.com/hive-153630/@atma.love/matrix-8-questions-and-answers)
- Development and implementation of various features for maximum user privacy (there are a lot of ideas, but for now these are all ideas, and we do not want to publish them until the community is examined in more detail)
Stay tuned!
