CoinBase made a great promotion to Litecoin. There are only 3 coins on coinbase: BTC,ETH & LTC.
Many micro investors prefer to buy 7.5 LTC instead of 0.1 BTC

Indeed, this is happening just because BTC fees are so huge. If one little investor will buy 0.1 he will pay a 0.002 fee just to withdrawal his coins, at least that I saw on some little exchanges, I don't know how much is the withdrawal fee on Coinbase.

I did a graph on it based on daily December figures & IF it keeps up this rate of growth it could be US$700 by Christmas Day!
Talk about Merry Xmas for us Hodlers!

BUT the REALLY interesting thing for me is this - To digitally mine (create) these currencies, large amounts of electricity are exhausted, Bitcoin is well known for this*, Litecoin is much more energy efficient in the mining process.

So as the green vote gets on board (& no doubt some mining is via fossil fuel powered sources) Litecoin is the greener option - so to sumamrize Litecoin:

- Litrecoin is way cheaper
- Much more energy efficient so it's greener for those concerned about climate change (anyone with a brain).
- more advanced tech!
- It has faster transaction times x 4 – so payments are processed faster.
- Litecoin has been in circulation since 2011 and has proven itself as a strong long term currency with its high volume and strength even during Bitcoin surges.
- After the Seg fork bitcoin miners can now mine Litecoin also.
- whats not to like!

Check this out for more on crazy BITCOIN energy usage levels : https://digiconomist.net/bitcoin-energy-consumption = every house powered in a nation the size of Serbia

could this be the big hedge funds taking a position and backing a winner?
Its certainly got global action now - wow!

or could it be the US markets taking a position ahead of shorting Bitcoin & then reaping the rewards as everyone retreats to Litecoin? - You guys are right something big is happening that's for sure.

OK just traded in all my under performers on neg% or tiny weekly %'s - gotta love that coinmarketcap "view all" feature - lets see how far this goes!

Could be anything, but I think that cause it transfers so quickly and at a low cost people are learning to buy it rather than anything else if they are going to move their crypto from one site to another, I bought ETH, BTC and LTC on one site and learned real quick that LTC was the best option for transfer's, I want quick transactions and low transaction cost's, so lets say I was able to profit with arbitrage - LTC rates high among the top 5 coins capable of moving around and I would be able to make more money with the low transfer fee's .
Yes I very strongly agree with your statement.
LTC is the best option for the transaction because the transaction costs are low.
Well thank you sir, low cost transactions is kind of half of what Charlie tried to say on CNBC, the other half of what he was saying is decentralized, this coin is not controlled, it has no central power devaluing it and we that have a little bit (or alot) are truly who give it any value, kind of like Art ya know, LTC is the coin you could buy you morning coffee with (if you dare to stop holding it)

People in here have been so nice, so I am just gone ask for help with another thing I have been thinking about. I have a old computer standing around, the reason why I don't use it is because it has no harddrive the on in it broke and so far I haven't bothered replacing it.
Hmmm  what do you want help with? I also have an old computer around and so I  kinda relate.. but my own has a working hard drive with a little history on it pics and what not that I never transferred and the the only reason I hold on to it, I would be willing to sell it for the right price if your interested  Wink

The whole world is waking up to it - my theory is the whole US Futures market is looking forensically at crypto now & they are buying whats undervalued.

Wow I just found a great Investopedia article summarising many of the benefits & advantages of Litecoin

check it out; https://www.investopedia.com/news/litecoin-future-cryptocurrency/

and their conclusion:

"Savvy cryptocurrency enthusiasts have compared bitcoin’s market capitalization to Litecoin and done the math based on its maximum number of coins and other traits and have almost unanimously declared that it is undervalued. Even so, with much progress being made on the Lightning Network, Litecoin may one day soon evolve into the truest form of cryptocurrency yet, and leave the others in the dust".

True the 4 x faster speed has to be a factor, and then add to that the fact that its a lot more solid & stable than many of the smaller coins - so you can depend on it to bank smaller coin gains in and hold the value before those gains drop back down... and of the big coins it has the least "BUBBLE" about it
I do not see the BUBBLE people speak of, Crypto is a hot topic, banks and businesses are running to the crypto scene trying to to figure out how to get in, BTC is on its way to pass the 30,000 dollar value that once seemed a far way off when it was under 500 dollars and it will stay as volatile as it has always been, but transferring it is a pain, I want my money and I don't want to see it "pending", LTC is trusted with a track record and I am willing to bet its forks will do well also, not sure I will need to use LTC for my transfers always but as long as its the quickest I will buy it and use it to buy the satoshi coins I want.

When compared to Bitcoin, lite coin has given even more profit to the investors who are holding LTC till now. The growth of LTC is good and market cap is simple superb.
