Wow, hashrate's just gone up by like 50% within the day. Do I sense people moving from TaxCoin to LiteCoin? Wink

"Taxcoin" ... I love it.

Well i've been there before.. Well good luck and i look forward to anyone who finishes one.

Yeah, this stuff is WAY over my head. May just start working on the game -- that stuff I have a better understanding of.

Any progress on that JavaScript Miner? =D

I think right now the answer is no. I'm trying to do something with it, but honestly have no idea what I'm doing. I haven't played with C in...years, and haven't touched JS at all. I almost exclusively use Java (fortunately JS and C are relatively close) but I can't even tell what I'm supposed to be using sCrypt on. Seems not to be much documentation, or I'm just missing it all / stupid.

I did find a Java implementation of sCrypt I'm playing with now, but still just trying to wrap my head around it.

I hope botnet users get caught sooner or later
But if a large coporate user sets his power to litecoin you can see a huge change in difficulty
A friend of me has a enormous cpu power set at some boinc projects, if he would change that onto coin mining that would give a shock with that enormous clusters he has.
I sure enough will not bring him on the idea, 1500 multi cpu blade server machines would hurt a lot Cheesy

I could dump thousands of CPUs onto litecoin via a supercomputing grid... but the loss from losing my job and the likelihood that I'd never be able to get another one in the IT industry would probably negate any potential profit I'd make through LTC. Tongue

Creator of Litecoin. Cryptocurrency enthusiast.
The new wiki on github is up: http://litecoin.info
Please help me populate the wiki. There's still some old stuff on the old wiki that needs to be moved over: http://46.253.203.113/litecoininfo/index.php?title=Main_Page
It would be awesome if people can help so I can focus on coding.

I have problem with the mining feature of the new client, solo looks ok but pool seems to be having issues.

Try to copy the contents of https://github.com/downloads/coblee/litecoin/litecoin-windows-miner-10-10-2011.zip into the same dir as litecoin client before starting pooled mining

If it's still not working, please select 'debug logging' on mining menu and post the output here

I've got a fork of Litecoin with JoelKatz' 4diff changes for pools made compatible with the Qt and Litecoin codebase (there's also a small fix regarding the session handling by myself) available at: https://github.com/terrytibbs/litecoin-pool

This is pretty much for pool owners only, not sure if it compiles on Windows.

The wiki seems to be down, but here is a google cache of most gpus/cpus and their wattage, hashes, etc.  Note that references to hashing is BTC only, but you should still be able to get an idea of watt usage.

Thanks. Exactly what I was after.
