Tempus, I wanted to know a little more about how a future Lykke debit card would be implemented. I envisioning Lykke could become almost a banking solution if this gets implemented in the future since you would have access to a lot of investments and your money secured by the blockchain.

Now I'm a little familiar with similar services like Xapo, never used their debit card but the process seems very straightforward, you use it like any other credit/debit card and when you pay or withdraw fiat at an ATM it makes the conversion/exchange from your Bitcoin balance.

However in Lykke as you hold multiple fiat currencies, cryptocurrencies and in the future even CFDs stocks (and many other kinds of digital assets) this can get a quite complicated.

My question is will the Lykke debit card only withdraw from your fiat balance? Do you need to load the card from the app or site beforehand or there would be some sort of automatic conversion/exchange?. Thanks!

I don't know much about the "how exactly" yet, but as far as I know it won't be needed to have fiat in the wallet. A customer will be able to define very precise and flexible what to use as automated conversion in case of a fiat-withdrawal or payment.

But, with the phone in reach (and connection) it would be very flexible anyway since a customer could sell his Crypto to a wanted Fiat-currency while walking the last 20 meters to an ATM. ;-)

What's interesting is that if you change base currency to LKK and then look at the relative LKK1Y price it's somewhere around 0.875 while the offering was at 0.8 (20% discount).

So the guys who bought the LKK1Y are already making a decent  6 to 7% profit.

In Swiss Franc the LKK1Y-offering was at 0.04 CHF and price is currently at 0.044 CHF - about 10% gain. First I was concerned that many wouldn't know what it is, but it seems wanted (already during the offering - it was oversigned). Especially those who invest for longterm buy LKK1Y because it's cheaper and without disadvantages for longterm (> 1 year).

For those who don't know what it is:

Interesting article about ICO's with Lykke as example and quotes of Richard Olsen:

Crypto equity via ICO and the other innovation chasm

(...)

Richard Olsen of Lykke:

“In future, any company will be able to take advantage of the ICO route. No regulatory changes will be necessary, because Lykke will acquire the necessary legal licenses and future ICOs can happen under the Lykke umbrella, www.lykke.com

How come time doesn't have a BTC market?

Yes, it's in the wallet but not on exchange yet. They are working on it.

With "buy" it should be possible also to buy with BTC if BTC are in the trading-wallet.

Lykke could take off within a a year. It has more potential then any other crypto on the market. It could monopolize the forex industry. A lot of cryptos are taking off right now but don't be fooled. They will come crashing down. People are foolishly jumping into cryptos that don't even have anything up and running. Your going to see a lot of disappointed investors over the next few years with crypto currencies and Lykke will end up being a favorite. As they add more features to lykke eco system it will catch on like wild fire. The key is patience and you will be rewarded. I seen this same story with internet stocks. People jumped into them in the early 2000s and they came crashing down. Lykke has one thing most of these cryptos don't have, a co founder that knows what he is doing. And has a proven track record to excel in the forex industry. Imo your lucky he is even offering any shares for sale. he will turn this into a great business.

Lykke is stagnant, no pump, other altcoins are pumping hard, no future to hold lykke.

Of course, Lykke is not the usual Altcoin and the project is in an early stage but under heavy development.

Before all: Price-action is different until now because it's only traded on Lykke. During 2017 three developments are realistic to expect in my opinion: 1) Significant increase of numbers of users on Lykke (I believe especially forex-trading will do a lot), 2) Lykke will most likely hit other exchanges (that is planned). 3) They have a lot coming that will impress.

With other words (my personal view on it): I also don't expect a huge pump any time soon. I've never expected that. But also not the opposite. I think it's interesting for Investors with some focus on long-term. Investing in Lykke is also not without any risk of course, but it is on another level when it's about quality and potential than 99% of all projects out there.

Exactly, to me I consider my Lykke investment as an "out of crypto" one, as if I've moved a part of my profits to a more stable and regular investment, kinda like investing in a promising startup or stock. Of course there's more money to be made playing the markets in crypto, especially pump and dumps but there's also a lot more risks too. For some the price is just right right now and they don't see it increasing that much in the near future since $5 per share seems about right for many considering total marketcap and potential, at least for now.

I think if Lykke keeps improving (licenses and gateways will add a lot of value to the company) the sky is the limit and it can definitely become an unicorn in the next couple of years, perhaps one with the most potential to do so besides Ethereum and its projects.

As a test i settled one  lykke 1 year. It worked fine and was deducted from my balance. Problem is now it is not showing anywhere else in my account. So hard for me to keep track on what coins i have coming to me in 1 year?

Update i do see it under history tap saying 364 days left. But that history will get lost once i make a ton of transactions in the future. There should be a tap just for cashed in lykke 1 year in my opinion guys.  Grin

I've seen that it's already on slack and they will improve that! Thanks for your feedback!

We've created a #lykke channel on Freenode IRC for community discussion. Please join us.

tempus, any chance we could get this chan added to the main post? I'm happy to hand over ownership as well, I just want to build some community and there is no slack channel so this is the next best thing.

That's great! Thank you very much! Just joined (I'm Magcube).

Edit: Sorry, forgot: sure, I'll edit it in the Ann!
