Hello community. I need a question answered please, how many of this coin I need to stake everyday? I like that it is 10% per year but do I need a lot of coin to start staking? I not a rich person but I can work and earn some btc and I then invest in pos coin like this one.

Just posted on https://cryptocurrencytalk.com/topic/86450-blakestarcoin-releases-new-website-and-updated-wallets/

http://www.blakestar.io

BlakeStar (BLAS) has just released a new website (www.blakestar.io) as part of its determined move towards establishing itself as the digital currency of choice. New Windows and Mac wallets have also just been released for this coin.
Ideally suited for dedicated staking devices and low-power/low-spec systems, BlakeStar is a decentralized digital currency with a focus on high performance, longevity, and adoption by services.

The coin is one of the first cryptocurrencies to use the Blake2s hashing algorithm. Blake2s itself is a high-speed optimized cryptographic hashing algorithm used for Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake hashes, for performance with low load. It uses Proof-of-Work, but unlike Bitcoin it is configured to transition to Proof-of-Stake, when small numbers of coins will be issued yearly for staking. Staking will be 10% per year.

The advantage of transitioning to Proof-of-Stake is to avoid the centralized mining pools that may eventually threaten Bitcoin with a 51% attack. Most Bitcoin mining has been centralized in China, which is not necessarily a good thing for the currency. Proof-of-Stake is known to discourage centralized mining pools. This makes BlakeStar ideally suited for dedicated staking devices and low-power/low-spec systems.

Originally dependent on the “libb2” library version of the Blake2s reference distribution, the blake2s reference implementation has now been directly baked in for ease of compilation across platforms. Users no longer need to download and install libb2 separately.
However, libb2 can still be compiled specifically for your platform (the configure script will auto-detect and enable special CPU features), and you can modify your .pro or daemon makefile.* to remove the blake2 source and object file references, add -lb2 to your LIBS and paths to the includes and library.

BlakeStar is quite feature-rich:

Algorithm
Type: PoW/PoS 2.0 Hybrid
Algorithm Blake2s

Proof of Work
Difficulty Retargeting : Every Block
Block Time : 120 Seconds
Reward: 240 BLAS

Proof of Stake 2.0
Minimum Age: 1 hour
Maximum Age: None
Reward: 10% per Annum

Coin Supply
Beginning supply: 240,000,000 or 240 Million BLAS
Total Supply to Be Created: 2,400,000,000 or 2.4 Billion BLAS

Default Ports
P2P Port: 14442
RPC Port: 14443

Updated Wallets
BlakeStar-Qt-win (version v1.0.0.1)
Download wallet application for windows based OS.
File zipped (11,00Mbs)

BlakeStar-Qt-mac (version v1.0.0.1)
Download wallet application for mac based OS.
File zipped (12,30Mbs)

BlakeStar's new website is rich with lots of information about the coin, including its roadmap, mining information, blockchain explorer, API guide and lots more.

Thanks for the update. Will accumulate 'n stake.

I am simply ME.
BlakeStar's listing on NovaExchange is being processed.
Meanwhile, buy BLAS from CoinExchange while price is still low.
With a great dev team behind it, I'm sure that BLAS would skyrocket soon.

I see a lot of similar posts in this forum. I only talk about technology, not marketing. Will I have a reward or an air drop later?

3.5 minutes.. I'll leave this running today to see.

Still nothing. 10 hours online with a display of 3 mins for staking rewards and 0 transactions.
Are there devs looking at this or am I wasting my time on a dumped coin?

you are outweighed by another wallet.

I've had times when I was more than 50% of the displayed netweight, This example included.
If I'm 50% of the weight, how am I being outweighed? I'm not expecting to have millions roll in, but the display indicates that I should have seen 'something' by now.
With a displayed expectedtime of 233, there's no way that's accurate. Not with (now) 15 hours running and not a single hit.
Are there more nodes that need added or something? What am I missing here?

You can use different difficulties at https://hexpool.com very easily.

Use c=BLAS,d= as your password, e.g. c=BLAS,d=4

See below for an example from Nicehash:

Example for command line option:

Code:
-a blake2s -o stratum+tcp://hexpool.com:5766 -u WALLET -p c=BLAS,d=4

holy batman how did I miss this?

Thanks man!
