Looks like ManicMiner is shutting down.

These last days we've had mining problems, caused by our unconditional support to secondary chain coins. Before renouncing to our main feature, we have decided to bring this project to a halt. The final version of this message will go via email, and it will also be an invitation to join a mailing list. We'll give deadlines for balance transfer before we stop our wallet service. Mining is already stopped. Thanks for your support these months.

Does anybody here happen to know whether or not somebody has done any kind of profitability analysis betwixt ManicMiner.in and the other multipool(s)?

i.e. multipool.us, wafflepool, etc.?

not that I'm aware of, would be neat to see though, if you have a bunch of gridseeds sitting around or something...

I did a test run for 24hrs, according to their average, i was suppose to make .00140 BTC per MH for 24hrs. only made .00054BTC, so not even close to their advertised earning.

I cannot find anywhere what "NOOK" means in the workers list. Does it mean "Not OK" or something?
I'm currently testing my 3 gridseed miners on this pool... seems it would be a good idea to identify what all the fields in the workers page mean.

Great idea but a few problems

it not PPS ( pay per share) , so if you not mining when they find a block - you dont get paid any thing
this is a huge problem when you renting power or using your own power.

they keep mining shitcoin no one care about

i understand you need to mine coin with similar Diff  . but really i would rather LTC or DOGE and try my luck with the bonus of merge coin ,

really if you want to merge mine - try Simplevert ,  mining Vertcoin + bounse of PLX and MON ( which are worthless but least you make the correct earning with VTC)

not all coins were from yesterday but ok ,you can keep them it's always the little guy that gets screwed ,but you will never take my hash again and i will never say good of this pool either ,you spend electricity time and not even a warning ,now that's professional .

I guess the pool owner is the big loser here, though he should have noticed something was up a lot earlier

This roll was crazy, a similar thing happened to btc-e.com. I knew better to cash out every chance I had. I literally worked all morning cashing out.

Sorry to hear about your guys unlucky day.

I managed to cash some out before so not too bad, i was working down the list of coins cashing and was only 1 coin off when POT went ofline

Well...I messed up big-time. I cashed out on the pools just fine. I used the wrong wallet to keep them in. I hope the sync isn't finished yet. I have coin missing. Not sure how much yet, but the numbers don't look good.

Here's the post I made a few days back.

Howdy...

OOOHHHH NNOOOO!  Cry  A while back I questioned (potcoin.com) when the backup would be added to the android mobile wallet for potcoin and asked if it was safe to use. I got a very resounding "Yes" and was told that the backup feature would be coming. My wallet has had a major crash (went crazy, then tablet black-screened) and I have lost over 160k plus coins. May not sound like much, but it is to me. I have a lot invested in these miners and vids. I went to the 'web' wallet to see if they existed there and I have the following message ...'Pot:undefined'...{"code":"ECONNREFUSED","errno":"ECONNREFUSED","syscall":"connect"}. I tried to post this issue on the site but it won't allow, for some reason.

Ummm....how do I get this functioning/corrected?  $#&^%$, I shoulda used the windows-qt BTC instead of leaving on my Galaxy tablet. I tried an app re-install, but still nothing. Help....ideas?   Huh

Thank You for your efforts    Roll Eyes

The answer from an admin access to Pot:

Well the good news is your funds are safe.  The mobile wallet doesn't keep
funds on it.  The funds are kept on the webwallet.  The mobile wallet is
just a shell.
The ECONN refused message indicates that the web wallet couldn't talk with
the hotwallet, the web wallet is just passing the message through.
You're the only one I've seen with this problem, I'll take a look and see
what's going on.  Thanks for reporting.

Later quote:

Looks like the the problem is the log file has filled up the hard drive
space on the hotwallet (probably due to the sustained DDoS against potcoin).
I'm clearing it now.

end quote;

Don't know if this is true but........ Me...I'm putting my coin in my system, where I can look after them.   Grin
