I've had issues solo mining via a Windows client with multiple machines as well, just FYI. 2 machines was fine...but beyond that things would jam up. Could have been an easy fix (I'm not sure)...but I just tossed everything in an Ubuntu VM instead and haven't had an issue since.

Its already been concluded by the resident thread experts that it is not possible for there to be something up with the windows client. It's your hardware at fault Roll Eyes

PS....  Are there any tips to optimizing the solo mining server version ... I get a lot of "POOL 0 not providing work fast enough" ... Can I hack windows 7 to dedicate memory, or cpu  or whatever this Sort of Special  SHA-256/Script hashing needs to speed it up.    (
Won't go to Windows 8 "NSA" version EVER!!!  going to learn linux desktop first.)

Same here. Posted about this but everyone was debating something on a tangent and posting loads of pictures so never was answered. Thought it was my network but thinking it may be the megacoin network with the issue as I tried a different network to run my wallet on. Same deal.

JR

I think this generally happens when the getwork server cannot provide work quick enough for your miners. Nothing to do with the 'megacoin network' - happens on many coins and is to do with the getwork protocol I think. A solution would be to set up a linux system with client and stratum server instance - this will eliminate the problem.

I don't think it had anything to do with other discussions that were going on. If you don't make any sense, you aren't going to get a reply.  Roll Eyes  You at least need to post your system specs, settings, and a complete description of your problem.

I am developing the API for the payment gateway at the moment.

I thought it might be good to ask at this point what sort of services (online goods / website access / ??)  people would be looking to use the payment gateway for?

Any special requests, things that I should take into consideration? I just want to make sure I have not forgotten anything.

All constructive ideas / comments welcome.

First things that come to mind:
web shop (for both digital and physical goods - anything from e-books to computer parts)
recharging your mobile phone sim card
membership site
invoice generation (for business 2 business transactions)
escrow service

On that note: is there any way for someone with any crypto currency today to subscribe to something? With fiat you can sign up for a subscription and have it automatically renew. I don't see how that would be possible with BTC, MΣC, or any other crypto at the moment? It would be an awesome function to add to the Qt wallet: the ability to pay for something automatically every x number of days. Perhaps even authorize someone to withdraw x number of MΣC every x number of days for x period.

Thanks...

I have thought about the subscription possibilities before, and plan to implement it in the next stage of the payment gateway.

I think it would work just as well as fiat subscription services offered currently for example by Paypal - where if there are the funds in your account they are deducted to pay the subscription and if not enough funds are in the account an invoice is sent to the subscriber.

Kimoto doesn't like the truth being posted, and the streisand effect is going to hit you like a bitch. Stay tuned.

For now, have another look at the information kimoto is desperately trying to hide:

Quote
For example, here is what a good launch looks like. Notice how steadily the supply chart increases: http://cryptometer.org/digitalcoin_90_day_charts.html Also note how the difficulty increases accordingly.

And now, megacoin: http://cryptometer.org/megacoin_90_day_charts.html

Notice how almost 10 days were of coins were created on the first day alone. Now consider the fact that this coin was launched with a horrific looking logo, and without source code, to deter miners. Who do you think mined the bulk of these coins? None other than kimoto himself. The difficulty chart supports my claim, as the difficulty only rose to 0.03 by day 2. This very low difficulty could only be maintained if there was a very low hashrate. This low difficulty persisted for a week until the source code was released. Kimoto lined his pockets with millions of megacoins, and has somehow tricked you into thinking this coin was launched fairly. Very clever on his part.

This is all publicly verifiable data pulled from the blockchain. Investigate, and you will come to the same conclusion that I have.

Oooh no ! Litecoin has the same ! http://cryptometer.org/litecoin_90_day_charts.html

Should we stop using it?

Tell us oh mighty Hazard, you who speaks only the truth ! I don't see you pointing that out about LTC, is its maybe because YOU ARE TRYING to serve your OWN interests!

It's good to see activity on MegaCoin happening. I've been focused so much on SexCoin lately that I hadn't noticed there was an update required.

I've updated the back-end to the latest daemon now, and I'm leaving my MEC pool up for those that want to mine in a small pool w/ proportional payouts.
