I made the .conf file but still stuck with a blank terminal seemingly doing nothing.
Not sure what the deal is.
same, reaper shows the json output from the daemon stating that mincoin is not connected to the mincoin network Not sure what the deal is.

I think you need to create a conf file, Mincoin.conf in appdata/mincoin once you have ran it once.
Its the same as the rest of them for this part.
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
or whatever you want them to be.
