What about Mintpal? Why not ask them to add MON too? Better two pairs: MON/BTC and MON/VTC

If I am mining via local node and I need to reboot computer and be offline for maybe 15 mins, how does this affect my VTC shares and my solo mined blocks? Do I lose the blocks of MON or PLX that I was mining?

http://www.simplevert.com/ PLX+MON+LVT怎么挖?vertminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.simplevert.com:3343 -u VTCAddress.MON Address.PLXAddress.worker1 -p x ?

NO,
Just: stratum+tcp://stratum.simplevert.com:3343 -u VTCAddress.worker1 -p x

You must add your MON and PLX addresses in user stats page Smiley

@Boristhespider

would be good to start working on a solution for trully p2pool merged mining ... not that stupid virtualmachine, or p2proxy ...

This must be done before launch of mon/plx

At this rate, In 2-3 weeks, p2pool  will disappear, and remain only 4-5 big clasic pool (like simplevert) ... and adio descentralization of mining...

Too bad

It's not hard at all to set up your own node... and you will know that the node operators will not be robbing you, because well.. you will be the operator.

+1

Stop mining on pools, and put some effort into setting up your own node.

I think widespread adoption of setting up one's peer to pool node can happen if programmers can develop easy to setup/configure software (similar to installing a windows application), with detailed FAQs and documentation, and utilities that support p2pool nodes to determine if one has setup/configure the node correctly. Example of this is to see mined blocks, expected payouts, etc.,  a good example is the way simplevert presented their user stats)

I think the virtual machine developed for merge mining is a very good idea to make it easy for many miners in setting up their own p2pool nodes. It is not stupid but is actually ingenious in promoting the setting up of p2pools. It is definitely a step in the right direction.

SimpleVert takes 2.5% donation for Mon (but 2.5% bonus)
 and 10% donation for PLX(but with 10% bonus)
mmm

SimpleVert takes a VOLUNTARY 1% donation of your VTC, they don't take ANY of the MON or PLX, they just give you a bonus.

@S_tring

yes i have my own node on local machine ... but mon and plx are stand-alone mining .... only vtc are pooled mined ... so with only a 1.2 mhs it's hard to solo-mine mon and plx with increased dificulty...

that why it's more important to developers of vtc/mon/plx to work on to develop a p2pool-merged fast.

It makes no difference if you mine MON and PLX stand-alone or in p2pool, you get the same amount. If your hash rate earns you 1 MON per day on average in a p2pool, then over 25 days you will get on average 25 MON. If you are solo mining the MON then you will on average find one block of 25 MON every 25 days.

You're basically demanding the developers to make p2pool improvements for a coin just so that you can watch it trickle into your wallet, instead of doing the maths.

Simple Vert now supports triple merge mining VTC/MON/PLX. 10% bonus on PLX, 2.5% on MON

Can someone please explain this merge mining?

If I mine with 1 Mhash at Simple vert do I get 1Mhash for each coin? VTC/MON/PLX ?

So the revenue displayed on coin warz is wrong and should be calculated as:
1Mhash of VTC + 1Mhash of MON + 1Mhash of PLX ?

I also have same doubt , If I mine with 1MH of VTC ,  how much VTC , MON , PLX will I  get  ?
2. On which pool can I merge mine these coins ?

Nothing changes with your hashrate. If you have 1Mhash per day then you will still have 1Mhash per day.

If you mine 2 VTC per day...then you will still mine 2 VTC per day.  Parallax and Monocle are a basically free bonus coins.

Merge mining makes a network more secure, gives incentive to mine and pushes all the coins in popularity.

There is no negative to merge mining all three coins.

Correct, although you might say it's negative that it encourages centralization as triple mining can only be done through solomining or on a centralized pool, meaning most people will go through a centralized non-p2pool..
