I think NAV would be a great addition to this multipool now that the swap is done.
https://www.zpool.ca/

As an option for payment instead of btc. I would use it.
Generally they are open to suggestions for this kind of thing I believe.

Hi,

I have tweeted them. I did not find any contact on the page. Let's seee if they come back.

regards

Thanks I'll just leave it alone.  Looking in the coin control part of send coins I see it's chunking it quite a bit already.

ok how do I 'chunk' it?

one address with 10k coins for example make 4 addresses and send 2k into each? or is there a Coin control function that can break it down?

Don't do anything. The wallet will do it on its own eventually

correct, the wallet will split the stake into two chunks when you process a block.  you could send yourself 2k coins at a time if you wanted to expedite the process.  would be best to wait till just after your coins stake to avoid missing out on earnings.

Hi Guys,

I think the OP page needs a big refreshment. The ''current development'' image is from last year. There's no explanation about the swap, only a link. People might miss it...

Staking with 2.0 doesn't have the same return as before!  Sad

Did you change the parameters? It seems to be more like 3% instead of 5% as before.

The params should be the same, I will investigate and get back to you.

I think it might be because the "cryptsy coins" and other uncollected wallets are now being staked by the devs Sad they weren't staked before. Im guessing that has a lot to do with it but may be wrong.

personally I'm getting more like half of what I was getting before.

Well Because of the swap I'm much more concentrated.  I had 2 wallets each with multiple addresses that had Nav in them. Now I have one wallet with all my coins from the swap in it.

BTW is that the best way for staking? Or should I create more addresses and break my coins down into smaller chunks? If so how many per address?

the number of addresses doesn't matter, but the size of chunks do.  I think it was found that chunks of 1500-2000 coins yields the best results.

The nav richlist is way too concentrated. Only 88 addresses total and 51 out of 59 mil in the top 10 addresses.
It gets worse if you take out addresses that only contain dust. Less than 60 addresses have 1000+ nav

I am certain nav 1.0 was much less concentrated (though still far from ideal)

This can't be good for the coin. if ownership is any indication, only a handful of people have any interest whats happening with the coin

On the other hand it also means nobody wants to sell at the actual prices. Only 3 mill on trexx to sell. Long time investors believe on NAV.
More people will come on board when this transition is over. Also bear in mind that the largest wallets are from Bittrex and the swap wallet from Dev team.

Salud!

Hi guys!

Shahim or Pakage,
before the start of the traffic for manual swap, I would like to ask you for a
confirmation, what is currently the size of blk0001.dat, and of the txleveldb folder?

Out of curiosity, I can not actually do that, but you've got to measure how
much is the traffic in I/O to the mass storage device, when a new block is accepted?

TIA

Manual Coin Swap

Dear Nav Community,

Some update on our progress over the last week. The Bittrex Coin Swap went very smoothly. No reported problems from Bittrex, they were happy with how it went and the new block chain appears to be functioning perfectly. In the end we had 47.5 Million coins swapped out of a total of 59 Million! That's a pretty high percentage for the first stage of the swap as we can all agree. We published to as many crypto news sources as we could and we think the word got spread quite well! Thanks for your help spreading the word via social media etc over the last few weeks! We will keep you updated on this figure as the manual swap comes to a close. I would guess that once Poloniex switches over and some of the late comers swap their coins the amount left will be pretty close to the amount we believe is tied up in the dead exchanges.

At this stage we are looking to have the manual swap open for 1 month since we have some delays with Poloniex but we will confirm this. We may even extend it further to make sure no one misses out!

I have modified a version of the old wallet to allow the input of a Nav 2.0 address where we send the new coins to. I have also programmed a NodeJS server to perform the coin swap. This is actually the backbone of what I am porting the anonymous network to use, so this code also counts towards some percentage of the decentralisation work!

Instructions on how to perform the manual swap can be found on our website: http://navcoin.org/upgrade

It's pretty simple, all you need is the latest version of the old Nav Wallet which I've uploaded, a Nav 2.0 wallet address and our swap address which is posted in the instructions.

I don't like to post wallet addresses for official business or direct links in my announcement posts because its easy for someone to quote the post and change it.

Please visit the website for the full instructions!

As for our other projects, we can finally start to move forward again with them. I will resume my weekly updates to keep everyone in the loop!

All the best,
Craig.

I keep getting "Api configuration was unsuccessful" errors.

I am cutting and pasting the API key and secret key from bittrex and using my logon password

I have an approved basic account. I tried making an 2nd set fo keys but get the error.

any ideas?

You shouldn't have to use your login password for bittrex. The password you enter is a password you choose to lock your trading account in the wallet. The api key and secret should work. I will test on my wallet when I get home and get back to you Smiley

I was confused by password under the keys instead of passphrase so I thought it was the bitrexx password and not my wallet passphrase.

My API connection is up and running thank for your help
