it will become decentralized with time and various tests that the devs have planned what dont you guys understand.. when a baby is born u look after and nurture it u dont let it wonder off. Same with this.. its good that its centralized in the start that way any incoming bugs or viruses can be dealt with swiftly and then once the network has kind of matured and u kno things are looking on the upside then u slowly decentralize and let it become independent in this big dangerous world. I warn you dont start any FUD! ((((((WE ARE AIMING FOR 1000BTC VOLUME)))))
I get that I just wanted to clarify things. If the anon feature has to rely on a single point that is the API server, then it is by definition centralized. Not trying to take away anything from the devs or to fud but let's call things for what they are before people who don't know any better invest based on false information.
No mate it is a wrong view you have here. There is a complete network running subchain and different services! This Api is not the Anon system!! That is important to know!

edit: of course api is part of the complete network.
Bonus question. What will happend if navajo api server went offline ? Will wallet (new wallet, that didnt use anon transaction before) choose NMG by itself (data from main chain or subchains ?) or will it block annon transaction since api server is offline ?
Also, what if the sites' SSL private keys were compromised and all users' sessions were logged?
api does not hold any keys.
SSL priv key, so user sessions were logged.
you only can log data if you have access to the system. there alarm bell already is ringing...
That's my point. What happens if api.navajocoin.org is hacked?
mate I already anserwed before. Then we bring the host down and start the redundant service.

I don't know what your business is, but hacking is not that easy.
Me myself is working in Network security / network administration for a long time now and did several learning sessions with whitehats. And I put all the experience in this network!
But we will improve our system any time and always keep up to date!

regards
These are legitimate concerns that require answers. Every system can be hacked eventually, the reason why Bitcoin is considered unhackable as a system is because there are many points of failure. Security is distributed so to speak, however with a centralized system there is a single point of failure that can be attacked and can compromise the system as a whole. This is why decentralization is so important for security in cryptocurrency. I am sure you all realize this and i look forward to seeing what solution you will bring in the future to solve this problem.

Of course we do!

thank you for your input!

edit: But I have to say, bitcoin is not unhackable and it is prooven the bitcoin chain is vulnerable! Only because it is decentralize, does not say it is safe / unhackable!

It's time to cash out and go trade a really valuable coin- GRIDpay!  Grin

Super cheap GRIDs are available.

P.S. Sorry for sarcasm

I just checked the charts of grid, it was 4k sat two weeks ago, it is now double. How is that cheap??

Ok, I'll ask you... Is GRID a legit coin? I was just kidding. That's the problem in crypto, just a word can be taken very seriously.

So the FUD can be very easily made.

BTW GRID was trading at first place in Bittrex platform for many days for 100k, 200k, even 400k. A greatest scam of last months. Supply- 30mlj GRIDs.

But NAV gets so much criticism, not fair, but harsh crypto world can be deadly nasty.
