It is strange. Because of some problems i removed the data folder and started to synchronize from block 1 on. But i still get the sign "no connections"

Hi Drew,

    The blk00000.dat and blk00001.dat combined are 161M.
We are up to block number 502,204.

Very nice -

Say, did you happen to add a full node there while setting up the block explorer?

I notice when my coin daemon is running I have no other { "inbound": false } connections.
It makes me wonder whether or not there are actually other full nodes on the network.

It became a problem last month because we had a pretty significant orphanage.
I leave my node online most all of the time now out of necessity, but we should have more support.

Anybody willing to put up a node?

I have a PI running SHA, but I just found this holy thread....  I would be willing to put up a full node, how large is the blockchain?

We're going to need a block explorer so that YoBit can put NDL up on the exchange.

Anybody up for it?

For now I've added the NDL chain over at :
http://explorer.netcoin.io/
http://explorer.netcoin.io/chain/Noodlyappendagecoin

It's currently syncing, but should be available soon enough.

Wow, that is amazing that I was so far behind.  Now if only the wallet would stop "not responding" constantly.

(edited for accuracy as of today)

The current block height is 499,464.

You should be able to addnode to 73.211.26.15 or 2001:558:6033:ff:3452:8f6a:c2ff:520

Hello,

Is anyone fluent in Japanese watching this thread?

It appears the NOODLYAPPENDAGECOIN.COM zone may be available from the current registrar. (GMO INTERNET, INC. DBA ONAMAE.COM)

It would be great if someone could contact the registrant through http://www.onamae.com and help the community recover the domain.

They don't appear to have an English language interface at this time.

Although, with regard to the registration I could be totally mistaken.
Its also possible the current Admin and Registrant contact in the Whois database would be able to share some insight with regard to the zone's availability.

In other words, would someone be willing to help make native language contact to Yuya Inose, in Tokyo?
He may be one of the users posting in https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/noodlyappendagecoinndl-02012014utc-396760 but I don't read/write Japanese and would like a native language speaker to help in some way.

Send me a private message for additional details or if you're also interested in working towards putting the NOODLYAPPENDAGECOIN.COM online again in the future.

Kind Regards,
-Chicago

abe explorer for NDL right here: http://dognose.com:40023/
a link to the above is found at my general NDL webpage, http://dognose.com/ndl

anyone have any sort of contact info for the original dev/author of NDL ?

I keep getting connection timed out for the block explorer ? Are you sure it's running ?

The one (and only) commit refers to a Paul Bradley : https://github.com/His-Holy-Noodliness/noodlyappendagecoin/commits/master
Besides that, it's not a lot of info available any more it seems.

after it times out, try again. i dont know/understand ABE's internal workings, but i'm suspecting its not updating new blocks into its database until it gets a request. then goes away for a time doing the updates.

retries a couple minutes later usually work for me.

if it is NOT running you would get an instant web error, not a time-out.

I've tried quite a few times, but no cigar yet. You could try running abe with the --no-load param, which would avoid the problem you describe. And set up a cron job that runs at a given interval
with the command:  python -m Abe.abe --config abe.conf --commit-bytes 100000 --no-serve

It's not that hard setting it up under Apache with fast-cgi either. Which should perform better and increase stability.

anyone know what the current block is?

my daemons are showing block 379258 as of sat.aug.15 13:14:35 2015 (gmt-4)

Mining right along it seems....

I have 57,176,325 NDL... or about 0.4 percent of all possible...

I am sure many NDL are forever lost due to early failures at exchanges and mining pools... that isn't such a bad thing...  But a block explorer would be nice, and someone to try and find out what happened to the 3 percent pre-mine et al.
