Hello, I got an idea of a shop that I would like to create and that would accept BURST. Do we have a payment processor that I would not be aware of, or can I accept payment throught AT (even if I don't really know what it is Cheesy) ?

Burst has a integrated shop, here you can sell your things. You should be able to transfer the information about the AT to your website. I'm almost 100% that we have 0 payment processors, not even Shapeshift as a payment processor.
You can check 2171942514119764562, i think it's a harddrive by Crowetic.

I know about this marketplace. However what I would like would be to be able to sell on my website. The profit that I'll do will be so tiny that it won't even be worth the time that I'll spend on it. That's just to give BURST a bit more of visibility, which wouldn't be achieved if I sell on the integrated marketplace.

I am not aware of a payment processor at this time, though with ACCT (cross chain transfer) it would be possible to pay with another coin that had AT implemented, and with the new additions that will be coming out soon, it should be possible with almost any coin. So hang in there, and we will be able to do that soon!

If you would like to accept BURST at your shop, why not just create duplicate items in your shop, on the BURST market, and link to them via your shop? you can link the marketplace explorer, because after all, the people who would be wanting to pay with BURST, should have BURST, right? then it would just be a matter of accepting the order itself through the BURST market.

Thank you for your help. You're right, I'm quite stupid, and I did not even tought that people who will go there, will obviously have BURST Cheesy ! Is it possible to post pictures of the items on the integrated Marketplace ?

dcct tools for Android alpha

To demonstrate you a Proof of Concept that Burst is so green that you can even mine it on your phone:

I ported plotting and mining tools (dcct_tools) to Android.

These screenshots are taken from my phone. It's not an emulator.

As you see my 'old' 2013 Xperia Z is plotting over 200 nonces/minute. Sometimes it jumped to 400 nonces/minute.
Phones of today have CPUs three times as fast! There was no overheating or other side-effects. Thermal policy seems to work perfectly.

Mining has almost no impact on CPU at all, but I have to test more - and get a bigger SD Card Wink

I did this to show you that Burst is really Crypto 2.0 - it will run on future generation low power hardware everyone can afford. Phones, Tablets, Convertibles ...

Tomorrow I'll write a guide how to do it.

Awesome work man! I can't wait to see what can be done with this... I'm already wondering... 8TB external drive, attached to a phone through a usb adapter... haha. Ultra green burst miner. Just plot with a computer.

oh, and if someone searches for the original atcrowdfund.html and doesn't find it (like me)
on CIYAM's git, it can be found in dawallet's burstwindowswallet. Here is the raw file:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dawallet/burstwindowswallet/master/burst_1.2.3/html/ui/atcrowdfund.html

and the lotteries.. just in case..

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dawallet/burstwindowswallet/master/burst_1.2.3/html/ui/atlotteries.html

Thank you! I didn't really even think of the non-Windows users, how ridiculous of me, as I do prefer the other OS's even if I do use Windows mostly.

Much appreciated, I will add these to the OP.

PS - I'm available right now if you would like to call!? If you're still interested in that. (guess this could have been a PM)

daWallet i know i can install burst on my key(i fact i use a 1TB USB3 as my usb key), thing is i do not want to create a new directory in each computer i will use my usb key with, lets say i have 7 friends that lets me use their computer, this will create a directory in the 7 computer + if i do not want to reload all DB then i have to save them back on my key.

I don't think you're understanding...

You DO NOT need to create a directory on any computer, IF YOU USE the wallet from the git...

The only time you have to create a local folder, is if you're using THE GUI WALLET/PLOTTER/MINER from our friend and GUI developer daWallet.

So, what this means, is if you're not wanting to create a local directory, simply do not use that version of the wallet, and you're good to go... yes? Yes.

-----

Alternatively, (which I'm sure you'll find another issue with, but I'll say it anyway...) we DO HAVE a WEB WALLET as well, which, of course, doesn't require you to download a chain at all, as it is aptly named, and located ON THE WEB. So yea, there are many different options here that allows you to be as flexible as you please with the BURST wallet, and run it however your heart desires.

Personally, I find the web wallet to be easiest, as you never have to worry about downloading the chain and synchronizing any of it. But Alas, it's all up to however the user of BURST would like to do it. Why we give so many options, is exactly for a situation such as this.

-----

Oh, another thing, please, for questions like this... can you use the BURST SPECIFIC forum? We would appreciate that! Thanks! http://forum.burstcoin.info

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------NOW BACK TO SOME UPDATES ON PROGRESS---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a short time, the CF AT that has been started for the ACCT and other AT development (to be donated to vbcs) already has 700k+ BURST! Thank you to those who have already given, you're making BURST better with your contributions, and thank you to those who haven't donated yet, but are going to, BURST is a project that is run by people who are passionate about it, and it didn't have any premine, or instamine, or development fund or any such thing to provide any funds for the team that keeps it going and releases new things, so when we need to get some funds together, the way we do that, is with CF donations from the community!

I myself donated 500k, so don't start thinking that I don't have to donate, (even though I do give quite a bit of time and effort as well. Wink) because I also feel the need to help financially!

Here is what it looks like after 2 days barely! looking good! Let's keep going!

You have to copy your passphrase(s) and the blockchain (burst_db folder) from /program files (x86)/BURST Wallet/
to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\BurstWallet  if you want to keep them.

Ok and now i leave a trace on all computer i use my USB key on it? sorry its there i stop because NEVER i will use burstcoin on a computer where i have to delete like everything when im done using the wallet.

You can download and extract the .zip (non-install) version for your usb-stick. You're welcome.

As a newcomer to Burst, and I realise that a lot of it is obvious when you have been mining for some time, I expected to be able to ask questions in this Thread as on scanning through it for answers there are plenty of questions here.

I did look in the Forum you linked to but it did not seem very active, whereas there was a lot of activity here. Might I suggest that if you do not want questions here that something be put in the OP explaining what is acceptable & what is not. I assume you want to encourage newcomers, but am not finding having perfectly good questions deleted very welcoming?

Rich

I didn't delete them, I moved them to the BURST specific forum. Though yea, it is new, and may not be as active, you will get answers there as the ones who ARE active, are members of the core team and also the community that have been around quite a while.

Also, I did post a few pages back when we started getting a lot more tech related questions, that I would prefer those questions be directed to the forum, as to not fill the thread with technical stuff and leave it free for the updates related to the coin and projects associated. *edit - I think maybe adding this to the OP is a good idea, and I will do so. Thanks!

That being said, I understand your concerns, and would also welcome anyone to directly message me via any of my contact methods in my profile, which include skype and google hangouts, and even my phone number, and we can discuss anything you think would benefit the coin and help it to move forward. This is not MY coin, nor the coin of the core team, it is OUR coin, this includes you, newcomers, and everyone that would like to make use of the technology.

Sorry if you find my deleting the posts from here and moving them to the forum to be offensive, it was not meant to be that way, and I will gladly direct you to the answers you seek if you contact me directly. I simply would like to keep this thread about what is coming out, and what is going on in relation to projects and the coin itself. Hope this makes sense. Sorry if I offended.

Test payment for the BURST CF AT setup for vbcs is completed, I realized I had the wrong address for the direct donations, but I've updated that above...

here's the AT once again, the countdown has begun! Please help out to get more development of the amazing ACCT and AT technology for BURST and more!

The Blockchain seems to take forever to download from within Burst Wallet, is there a quicker way of loading it?

Rich
You can download a copy from here http://db.burst-team.us.

Thank You, do I just put the contents in the burst_db folder or is anything else needed?

If you have so many questions I recommend you http://forum.burstcoin.info

Indeed, please use the forum, I have removed a few of the random 3 word support-related posts, would prefer to not have to do that if possible please. Thanks!

edit - I have moved at least one of your questions FOR YOU! You're welcome!

On another note...

BURST-FV97-WG4P-GLPK-HM3R7

*edit* - *I was incorrect about the sending directly to creator part though, you send to the AT address, derp. I knew that...)

If you would like to directly donate without having to use the AT, simply send to BURST-Q65F-6VNE-6YNS-7JKMQ

VBCS DEVELOPMENT CROWDFUND IS STARTED, PLEASE DONATE SO THAT WE CAN GET THE NEW ADDITIONS FOR ACCT ADDED TO BURST! THANK YOU!

edit - I will do a test donation first, then after it works fine, I will be the first to send 500k to kick it off!

fellas, you keep on reopening new threads for the coin with the same thread/post layout and design.
I believe its time to have something nice done for the main thread. also stop reopening it.

The problem is there is no access for updates to the old thread.  As far as I know this is the second thread to be opened as an [ANN] most of the info on the original [ANN] is outdated and the links do not work we needed a new one that was editable.  This is the reason for the new thread.  Why is there more then 2 threads which are [ANN]s for this coin?
