NEW POOL

tross Burstcoin Pool

Recipient: BURST-JGBV-U7YK-SWHM-4P4QS
Pool:burstpool.ddns.net:8080  and 8124

I hope people come and try it out! Only cost is 1 Burst and your are free to stay or go as you please
It's an alternative to a large pool without pay hassle and forks. Thats not saying it couldnt happen to
my pool but less frequently or not so often. I will be changing the site design and some of the JS code.
Like any other project there is always a bug somewhere.

Burstcoin has to have more than a couple large pools. It wasnt too long ago all the big pools were forked.
But us smaller pools were not. You never know a smaller pool might be better than where you are. Its all
luck! Are you lucky?

I am not saying the large pools cant handle the load. I see it like this Burstcoin is like a ship sailing the sea. When the ship is lopsided then it cant go straight.
Balancing the load will help things out. Or explain to me why did ninja fork this morning and my pool didnt. I have ninja listed as a peer in the wallet configuration
and we use the same wallet.

If the small pools are not supported they will fade out. If for some reason the 3 large pools fall out. Where are people going to mine.

I am not saying anything bad about the bigger pools. When they acted up they are fixed quickly. On the other hand if they were not so overloaded the problems wouldnt happen. My pool uses same wallet but no forks. Think about it!

I assume that ninja is the biggest pool in terms of TB? However because of the minimum deadline it is relatively small in terms of miners submitting. Typically you will see only 60 Miners responding and 80 nonces being submitted. Several of the other pools have more miners and more nonces being submitted.

I feel that ninja should easily be able to cope with this sort of load and that the forking and other problems that we see must be related to something in the system design? Compared to a Bitcoin Pool ninja is tiny and if Burst is to grow then pools ought to be able to support more than 60 miners?

Answers need as to why A block just won by this pool was given to someone else. Why a freshly restarted server, wallet and pool was stripped of a block. Pool.burstcoin.de clearly won block as seen infront of my eyes

261805 +/- time stamp below could be 261806?
It appeared as current block at the pool with 3000+ shares?. when it disappeared from my pool web page I immediately saw that the wallet 1.2.6  displayed
21:06:32 2016-08-12  block not accepted

You are not alone I have seen that a couple times this year. But on another subject:

My thoughts are when things get weird on the bigger pools you could always try another pool http://forums.burst-team.us:4567/category/32/pool-announcements

You can always go back it only cost 1 Burst. If people would spread out everyone would benefit and I dont think big miners would lose in the long run. You have to figure in losses from when the pool forked. The more pools we have will make Burst stronger. Imagine if there we only 3 bitcoin pools! Where would bitcoin be today?

I wanted to share a BURST signature that I have had made... if anyone would like to use it, go ahead, I'll be changing mine here as well...

http://pastebin.com/raw/6ghvc9vm

It looks cool, but it's a bit hard to make out the B in Burst.

Burst's future is looking very bright, I can't wait for the features listed on the roadmap. One thing would be nice to see is to change layout of the wallet somehow and make it look less NXT like and add other features.

This is also something I will be adding to the roadmap...

I have some ideas myself including a super simple 'easy interface' for the every day person to use and not get confused, then the 'advanced interface' which would be more like what is currently in existence.

I have also suggested that the wallet UI for Windows start full screen in the next version, so that the people don't have any parts of the wallet being cut off due to lower resolution and running the wallet in the small size window.

The changing of the wallet structure is something that I definitely would like to see, to make it look more unique, and of course, provide more features.

I'm looking to have the Marketplace redesigned, with the ability to add pictures (either on the chain or an external server at first, then on our decentralized storage platform later when that is handled ((we're still thinking on that)), and also have a marketplace explorer rebuilt, and put into the wallet itself.

Also, the CF UI in the wallet, I'm thinking of a redesign there, making the only active CFs show at first, and making them arrangeable by name, type, size, and adding filters for that. Also including a link that explains how to purchase BURST in a step by step document, and a video.

Also, on the main login page, we will re-add the motion thing we had built, once we have it stop after a set period of time, and also include some instructions explaining that there are no wrong passwords, and any password put into the passphrase area, will create a new account. Explaining to people how to backup their password in a secure way, and/or use the GUI wallet manager in the windows client.

I'm also thinking of using QORA's decentralized WebRTC (real-time-communications) to provide a real-time person 2 person chat program in the wallet.

I will modify the roadmap with these modifications, thanks for the input!

Hello everyone, just to let you know, we're still being voted to add on livecoin.net

https://www.livecoin.net/voting/voting/index

go vote to get BURST listed! Thanks!

Please also vote on BTER!

Bter is most important exchange since it's a chinese exchange. Getting listed will expose burst to chinese market

I agree that it is important to try and get on a Chinese exchange. This will not only expose BURST to the Chinese market but it could even make the price of BURST explode and sky rocket to the moon. Siacoin exploded once it hit the Chinese exchange Yunbi and the same could happen with BURST.

-[ANNouncement]- Ninja pool maintenance

There was another issue with ninja pool today, we've reverted to a clone state of the pool and put it to another wallet temporarily while its main wallet  syncs, everything should be back up and running now, there was a db corruption issue, we'll take care of the needed coins for any missing payouts automatically.

thanks!

-[ANNouncement]- BURST.nina pool downtime - wallet maintenance

We have to take burst.ninja pool down due to a wallet issue, feel free to move over to one of the other pools...

http://pool.burst-team.us

http://pool.burstcoin.biz

http://pool.burstcoin.eu

the outage shouldn't be too long, just long enough for the wallet to resync the chain, it was having some sticking issues, so a fresh resync is prescribed fix.

Thanks!

COMPLETE - Thank you H for the quick turnaround time!

-[IMPORTANT]- PLEASE UPDATE YOUR WALLETS TO 1.2.6, OLDER VERSIONS, ESPECIALLY 1.2.4 AND 1.2.5 CAN CAUSE NETWORK ISSUES!

As mentioned, it is imperative that EVERYONE updates their wallets to 1.2.6 with the network fixes that were pushed. We cannot do our next PR move without this happening. PLEASE update!

ALL OS - https://github.com/burst-team/burstcoin/releases/tag/1.2.6

WINDOWS GUI CLIENT with 1.2.6 - https://sourceforge.net/projects/burstwindowswallet/

We hope everyone updates soon, to allow us to continue as planned in our promotion. Thanks!

Note - If you're updating now, you'll likely need to resync the chain from scratch or download the db from http://db.burst-team.us Thanks!
