Hello
How does it look with newly opened stores.
I would  like Tshirt with piggy :-)

I need a much larger version of the PiggyCoin logo to make Piggy t-shirts :8]  Anyone want to try making one?

If I tried with the ones we have (that you can find in the qt folder in the github repo) it would look blurry or blocky.

Dreams are realities un-manifested.

Our VPS has been a bit bumpy recently, plus space is becoming a premium as the backups rotate and fill while transferring off-site, but we are monitoring it and will have a long term solution by the end of the month.

Backups are no longer being "staged" on the main server prior to archive which has freed up resources a lot. Will see how things are over next cpl weeks before getting a new VPS. If anybody wishes to help out on hosting, let us know.

File size too big for github so there is a bootstrap which gets updated daily on the piggy-coin.com website. The URL is:

https://www.piggy-coin.com/piggybanks/bootstrap.zip

Presently its compressed size is ~350MB.

FYI - I have added an instructions (Using_bootstrap_dat.md) file to the zip to make it a bit easier to understand how it is used.

Trying to download the wallet, is piggy coin.com down?

It's working here.

Transferred all my IRC coins to the new tipbot.

Also, the piggycoin site is up for me.

drew has made a new IRC tipbot for PiggyCoin, but he can't migrate balances to the new tipbot automatically, so if you have a balance there you'll have to do it manually, like this:

!balance                       First check whether you have PIGGY in the old tipbot and that it's what you expect
.deposit                       Will give you an address to deposit to the new tipbot
!withdraw pTheaddressyoujustgot

Commands to the old tipbot begin with a !

Still syncing Piggy Desktop and was trying to get the app on the phone. However, when I go to register it keeps giving me a 502 Bad Gateway error. What can I do to proceed?

Looks like the Online PiggyBank is down (which the mobile app interfaces with).  Have alerted the main dev, neurocis '(oo)'

neurocis got it back online :8]  (The disk was full from backups...)

After downloading the PIGGY dashboard, about how long does it take for your first deposit to hit your wallet?

Hi,

The dashboard = the Desktop Piggybank?  :8]

If it's a recent deposit, then that would only happen when your blockchain is almost fully synced.  You can hover over the syncing icons in the divider on the left side of the PiggyBank and they can give you an estimation of the time it will take to sync :8]

I had to download the PIGGY block chain again (the one I had got corrupted). I'm running into a snag, though. The wallet is stuck at block 752139 and eventually goes offline. I can close the wallet and reopen it, and it will connect to the network, but then it makes no progress and I find that it has gone offline.

Suggestions?

I see nothing special about that block or those around it. Maybe pm me the last 100 or so lines from your debug.log in your newpiggycoin config directory (same dir as the wallet hides in).

I figured it out. I just had to start all over and download the block chain again. I had another bad block chain so I was trying to download them both at the same time, and then ended up having to do it all over again for both wallets, this time just one at a time. So some free advice: only download one block chain at a time Smiley

We are talking about increasing the block time target to 2 or 3 minutes.  This would speed the Desktop PiggyBank up in various ways and reduce the size of the blockchain.  Thoughts?

My laptop does struggle with the desktop client, so that's a definite plus. Confirmations would take longer, but I don't see that as a big deal at this point. It's still 3-5X faster blocks than bitcoin. And holding down the size of the blockchain would be nice.
