NXT was an attractive system, but I later discovered it had an arguable initial distribution
of all coins at once.
I think that encouraging wider distribution will promote the utilization of coins, which
should be the object of existence, not being held by a small number of people and piling
up a huge market cap.
Although the distribution problem may never be solved fairly, I think that NEX is one of
the promising candidates that deal with that problem better.

In a way we're stuck in a classic prisoners dilemma and just need to find a way to cooperate so that a system is widely distributed. It is better to own 0.1% of a system valued at $20 trillion than to own 15% of a system valued at $100 Billion. We only hit the $20 trillion valuation when billions of people have skin in the game (like with the USD) and that by definition requires a wide distribution.

Why do you need a "development fund" if you're just cloning NXT?
