Is all NFDv2 distributed ,I  have not received my IPO

MaWo had to hold some people's NFD back because of security worries. [EDIT: I later saw he's dealt with your issue.]

That's why I haven't got down to the PMs yet. Sorry about the delay, but the entire dev team feels awful about the NFDers who were robbed (again). There's already been a lot of discussion on how to make the NFD environment less unsafe. I'm currently looking into a (semi-) straightforward way to generate a secure passphrase. I'll be a clunker - I can't help that, given that I'm a Java newb with (lack of) skills to match - but I'll do what I can. Including slapping in some rudimentary protection against clipboard-stealing malware.

Have got my NFDv2 ,thanks for Nxtblg and MaWo , you are good men , people can see this and will cherish NFDv2 because NFDv2 is a meaningful  coin

its not yet proven if the guy was actually hacked or if he done it himself..

member what i was saying nxtblg? Roll Eyes

Ah well...me and my amnesia... Smiley

But I'm in no way knocking Nxt or the Nxt ecosystem. My post was intended to warn people here about keeping their eyes open in the NFD ecosystem.

"If it can happen to them, it can happen to you" <--- my underlying point.

is there a mac wallet I'm having trouble finding one? If not I'm just hoping there isn't a deadline to get my stake coins ?

it's a java wallet, which should run on any computer with a installed jre/jdk.
download zip file, extract it and start
./run.sh

wait until you see
NFD server NFD 1.1.4-20140615-A started successfully.

Take your favorite browser and open localhost:8876

That's it.

what are the benefits of creating an alias? will it make my account more secure?  sorry noob with nxt / nfd here

An account number has an entropy of 64 bit. You only need to find any secret which produces the same account id to login and get the coins. That's not really easy but that can be done with some years of cpu time.

Any outgoing transaction publish your 256bit publickey of your secret. When your public key is known, an attacker have to find exactly the secret which has this public key.
That's much harder to find. Because of that, the advice to make at least 1 outgoing transaction like  assign an alias, send a message or a coin to yourself...

Got it, thanks for the clear info.  I have sent a coin to myself, thanks for all your hard work, this is a great community to be part of!

According Mawo's  instruction , I have PMed  Mawo my new calculated out hash  using a new secure passphrase ,and with the related ID of NFDv2  .  when can I get my NFDv2 of IPO ? I am very anxious to get my IPO share and I am honest, you can check the message I have sent to you . thanks

Just a heads-up from the Nxt world:

If you haven't seen this thread, please check it out:

"Big scam in NXT hundreds of BTC stolen with a one post"

Best estimate is that a scammer stole ~200 BTC from trusting Nxters through the Asset Exchange. The amount stolen has made the fellow who scammed us look like a small-change hustler...

This has nothing to do with asset exchange. It was "trade" (Btc for Nxt)  A reputable member was selling Nxt for BTC but his forum account (not his Nxt account)  may have been hacked.

The real number is a lot smaller than 200 BTC as the hacker himself could be sending himself the BTC to make himself look more legit

Thankfully, this is one kind of "scam-dal" that has not plagued the NFD world! But please read through it and take it as a reminder to be on your guard. The trouble with the Asset Exchange is that it's 100% trust-based at the moment.

So, in the abstract, that big Nxt AE robbery was entirely foreseeable...but still...

So please be cautious. I don't know if it's me, but there seems to be a whole new crime wave directed against Nxt & its clones. The crypto world, at least seemingly, has gotten more dangerous recently . "Safety first" is inconvenient, but it doesn't hurt. Smiley

EDIT: Please withhold your judgement about the incident until all the facts are in. I meant for this post to be a "it can happen to you..." cautionary note, and nothing more.

Please replace

"IPO closed since 11th of May!"

With "NO IPO". The above normally means IPO shutdown since 11th may (no one reads the thread time).

Thank you. I just sent MaWo a link to your suggestion.

I support hiring people for design and coding, it is much more efficient than wait if someone in community will show up.
I also support work of professionals over amateurish people, most of the time I see better results in shorter time.

Two suggestions:
1) hire QBTC to build a community website. her work - http://www.nxtcommunity.org/nxt-cryptocurrency/nxt-tools-resources
2) hire abuelau to build a NFD online wallet and tools. his work - https://wallet.mynxt.info/
