Everything work fine ! Good hashrate !

But a litle problems: NH miner always mine Lyra2REv2 in any case. I wait for 15, 30 minutes but it's not auto switch to X11 when it is the best profit.

How to fix it ? Thankyou !

How can I set a price for my S7s without causing them to not hash?

Let me explain:

I like to set Nice Hash as my primary pool with a price -ex: 0.0055. If my price is too high, I want the rig to fail over to my secondary pool -ex: Kano. I'm using Smit's modified Firmware for my S5s and have no issues. However, when I set Nicehash as my primary pool for my S7s with the same price, they don't fail over to my secondary pool. Instead I get no hashing at all.

That minner become better with every version so far!

Can i get some instruction how to apply my overclock settings?
If that matter i use 4x R290 tri-x cards and i want to oc every card individually from MSI afterburner.
Or maybe in the next version you can make it overclockable Cheesy

I try oc now, but the miner reset my setting immediately.

Stop NiceHash Miner and edit config.json file. See the configuration of sgminer startup parameters for each algorithm at the tail of the file. Add " --gpu-xxx VALUE" parameters for each algorithm ... see here for details: https://github.com/nicehash/sgminer/blob/master/doc/configuration.md#gpu-engine

I'm mining with hd7950 and hd7970 cards, using latest amd drivers and latest nicehash miner. I should mention that when worksize is changed, miner doesn't start.

Are you getting "Enqueueing kernel" errors on AMD GPUs? If yes, take a look at the Troubleshooting section: https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner#troubleshooting

I have been trying to change worksize from 64 which is default to 256 or 128, but sgminer crashes all times. Do you know why?

What algo are you mining with what card and driver version?

Is anything wrong with nicehash servers or nicehash miner? I can't start it anymore, worked fine earlier.

You know what i find is my norton hates it. Ive had to Re add it to the safe list numerous times now. Even after turning off the download insight it still giving me hell.. So even adding it to the safe list seems to be an issue with norton for some reason.. I have to keep restoring it from a zip then it works.   when i get more time ill look into why norton wont quit deleting the files needed to make this work..

Edit>>As to the down servers im currently mining x11 atm  i start and stop the miner and all seems good.. mininng .86$ per day to my trezor .. after a few years it will start to add up Grin

Dear users,

Yet another new version of NiceHash Miner has just been released. The new version 1.2.2.0 brings highly optimized AMD GPU mining for NeoScrypt (up to +300%) and a few bugfixes:

https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=news&id=56

Keep on mining! Wink

Best regards,
NiceHash team

Going to give this a shot see how neo works now.. Thanks for the quick update thru the holidays. Much appreciated

Edit.. one more thing.. I didnt like that the software overides my amd overclock settings.. I fixed it by editing the settings conf. I removed the --auto gpu flag from all the amd algos.  My hd7970 likes 1040 clock and 1500 mem.. it increased my x11 1 mhs over stock of 925/1375  as far as the other algos i got about the same 10 % increase in speed .. But on the down side it is running my card a bit hotter.. From 80 c normal to 88 c overclocked.. I have 2 120 mm fans keeping the card cool:)

also had to add --gpu-engine 1040 to the extralaunchparameters under groups (4) to get it to stick.. seems the program only forces the gpu clock not the mem clock..  forgot this one little detail:)

Mining since early 2013
There supplied bins make my cards run wayy too hot for my taste. I could mine 8MHs on my R9 390 with temps going around 65-70C with fans at 40-50% but using this nice hash miner gives me 11MHs with temps near 80C with fans at 80+ %.

Underclocking and tweaking the intensity didn't help this one bit. The temps are just too high.

Sorry if this has been posted before--how can I get the newer miner (with optimizations) to work with ubuntu 14.04? Is it possible and if so is there a walkthrough?

Thank you

What happens if you run the batch file and not the GUI? I think you would need the sgminer-5-1-0-optimized version for your cards. I have 7970's and that is what works for me. I had the same issue with the internet connection but it was my content filter (sophos utm) which was blocking it.

Have you tried to telnet to the hosts on the ports they are listening on to see if you can connect? Can you post a traceroute from you to the servers you are trying to hit?

I can run from runme.bat and everything work fine !
(with low hashrate, but I think the reason cause I dont know right parameter for my card)

I never used NH miner before. Pls help me ! Thankyou !
Try with 3 x AMM HD7950

I see, will I will tell you this, I could not get sgminer to run by just using the sgminer-fixed.conf file. It would not initialize my cards. However, if I set my parameters in the command line it runs fine and I can overclock it.

This is what I run it with:

Code:
sgminer.exe --config sgminer-fixed.conf -p d=10.0 -d 0 --xintensity 256 -w 64 -g 1 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-powertune 10 --gpu-fan 73 --keccak-unroll 0 --hamsi-expand-big 4 --nfactor 10

And then in my conf file I take out all config options in at the end.

Here is my conf file: (this is for multi algo mining)

Code:

Are the EU servers closest to you? Have you tried any of the others?

EU servers *should* be the closest as I am in Europe.
Doing a ping confirms this

What happens if you run this from the GUI and not the batch file?

The GUI (v.1.2.1.0) doesnt work for me.  It encounters an unhandled exception, but I can press Continue.
After that it goes looking for Nvidia GPUs and there it hangs...  I only have one AMD R9 280X card in this computer...  It is too late to get into JIT debugging..

So never mind the GUI.
I will experiment further with setting a value in the password field in the config. and try to run the
batch file.  I may need to set  parameter value for price to start mining properly.

Has anybody else successfully managed to get this miner to work with other pools than nicehash?
