1. It keeps restarting to go from Lyra to Lyra. Why doesn't it just stay on Lyra Huh

2. I looked in config.json file and all coins have thread concurrency 0 except neoscript which is thread concurrency 8192. Tried different Lyra TCs:
--thread-concurrency 0 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 1
Code:
GPU 0:  59.0C 1484RPM | 4.637M/4.191Mh/s | R:  0.0% HW:0 WU:9.917/m xI:256

--thread-concurrency 8192 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 1
Code:
GPU 0:  65.0C 1489RPM | 5.501M/5.539Mh/s | R:  0.0% HW:0 WU:21.988/m xI:256

--thread-concurrency 16384 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 1
Code:
GPU 0:  68.0C 1490RPM | 5.941M/5.840Mh/s | R:  0.0% HW:0 WU:22.097/m xI:256

3. Why is --gpu-threads 1 Huh
--thread-concurrency 16384 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 2
Code:
GPU 0:  57.0C 1477RPM | 2.184M/2.375Mh/s | R:  0.0% HW:0 WU:9.331/m xI:256

--thread-concurrency 8193 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 2
Code:
GPU 0:  54.0C 1478RPM | 1.738M/1.976Mh/s | R:  0.0% HW:0 WU:6.696/m xI:256

4. Why is worksize so small at 64 Huh
--thread-concurrency 16384 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 2

Now it's crashing  Cry

BTW, I read this thread but it raised more questions than it answered.

Why it so laggy ? very very slow respond, and always show me notif: "Nicehash Miner requires internet connection..... pls check your internet connection...".

I have NO antivius, NO firewall, already disabled Windows firewall !

My rig:

4 x AMM HD7950
4G RAM
Windows 7 x64bit
GPU Driver version 12.3

Is driver version problems ?  I'm lazy to reinstall driver !

Thanks for support !

Hello,

A new version of NiceHash Miner has just been released. The new version 1.2.1.0 brings highly optimized AMD GPU mining for popular X11 (+100%), Quark (+50%) and Lyra2REv2 (+200%) algorithms on AMD Pitcairn, Tahiti and Hawaii GPUs along with some additional new features and bug fixes. The significant boost in X11, Quark and Lyra2REv2 algorithms are shown here when mining on four GPUs: R9 280X (Tahiti), 7950 (Tahiti), R9 290x (Hawaii) and 7870 (Pitcairn): https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=news&id=53

This is mandatory upgrade for users with AMD GPUs. After upgrading to this release re-run the Precise benchmark if you are using AMD GPUs. And remember - NiceHash Miner is a truly easy-to-use Windows software that will quickly turn your PC, workstation or server into money-making machine. Detailed description, application options and even full source code is available on the GitHub page.

Go ahead and get it here: download here!

Best regards,
NiceHash team

There is a linux version ?

there is no linux version - unless someone can port the code ...

so if anyone knows how to do that - we would all appreciate it ...

i would be happy to do the compiling and testing with who ever is willing to port ... its all open source code anyway ...

Got Nicehash running, Windows 10, latest SDK, 12.7.1 drivers, deleted the two amd files out of the 3 sgminer folders, ran precise benchmark. Both Cpu and GPU seem to be hashing but my card doesn't seem to be taxed as it's quite cool, I've had no shares submitted with neoscrypt, I was just curious if that's cause I'm not hashing fast enough to get a share before a block is cleared or something else.. A little help would be appreciated

You probably mean 15.7.1 drivers, not 12.7.1 drivers, yes? Wink

This hash rate is wrong, neoscrypt should give a few hundred Kh/s, not Mh/s.

Try one more thing -> delete all *.bin files in the "..\bin\sgminer-5-2-1-neoscrypt" folder and run runme.bat in the same directory. Do you see a speed of few hundred Kh/s (like 0.100 Mh/s)?

If not, then there must be another joyful combination of issues with neoscrypt + amd drivers + Windows 10 ...

Right right on the 15.7.1 not 12, it dig create a bin on running runme.bat, still no dice on shares. Did as you stated about Benchmark: 0.0, restarted, still fired up neoscrypt and reset my benchmark settings.

I did "Benchmark: 0.0", "Skip: true" it liked that, and fired up sgminer general currently submitting lyra2 shares @ 3.377 MH/s Thanks for your help, and glad to guinea pig any suggestions or builds to fix neoscrypt.

Bitcoin Talks Bullshit Walks
when running both CPU and GPU mining, when all CPU cores are being used it drops GPU hashrate, is it possible when X less CPU threads are being used, the GPU miner to have affinity to use only those free X CPU cores.

well i may have a solution for you.. Set the x less cpu to one>>(EDIT:>>I got to thinking about this and you  probably wont need to set the x less cpu. Windows will override it anyway). Then start the mining with both cpu and gpu.. then goto your task manager.. if windows 10(windows key + x) (All other should be ctrl-alt-esc) then more details at bottom rightleft of TM.  then click the details tab at the top of TM.. Then right click your sgminer.exe and set affinity to say processor 4. and uncheck all the rest. then goto the cpu miner and set affinity to only use the rest 1-3  uncheck 4 since it is going to run the sgminer only..

x11 = 11.4mhs
x13 = 4.2 mhs
keccak = terminated
nist5 = terminated
neoscrypt = 125 mhs
whirlpoolx = 102 mhs
qubit = 11.1 mhs
quark = 14.6 mhs
lyra2rev2 = 11. 9 mhs

AMD XFX HD7970 3 gb

These numbers are all very good, with the exception of neoscrypt -> this hash rate is wrong, neoscrypt should give a few hundred Kh/s, not Mh/s.

Did you try this? -> delete all *.bin files in the "..\bin\sgminer-5-2-1-neoscrypt" folder and run runme.bat in the same directory. Do you see a speed of few hundred Kh/s (like 0.100 Mh/s)?

If you still getting 100+ mhs on neoscrypt, then neoscrypt is obviously completely broken on win 10 (+some combination of drivers most probably). In this case open config.json in NiceHash Miner folder and enter

"BenchmarkSpeed": 0.0,

in the "Name": "neoscrypt", configuration section. This will effectively disable neoscrypt.

[2015-12-22 08:26:11] Press any key to exit, or sgminer will try again in 15s.

[2015-12-22 08:26:27] Please check the details from the list below of the servers you have input
[2015-12-22 08:26:27] Most likely you have input the wrong URL, forgotten to add a port, or have not set up workers

Thats what it looks like with the .bin file. running just the runme.bat.. Takes like 15 seconds to get to that screen tho from this one

[2015-12-22 08:25:11] Log date is now 2015-12-22
[2015-12-22 08:25:11] Started sgminer 5.2.1
[2015-12-22 08:25:11] * using Jansson 2.7

 Then it goes black for about 10 second then starts with the pool url isnt reachable.

same results with or without the bin file.. Also same results by removing those two amd files out of the directory.. I have norton disabled as well as allowing each instance of sgminer in each folder their own rule.. All other coins mine and are able to reach the network. neoscrypt only one with issues..   ill help you guys out any way i can..  be nice to have them all working.

Sure, see Config parameter LessThreads: https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner#options ... so if you want one core to be free, set LessThreads = 1, if you want two cores to be free, set LessThreads = 2, etc.

Been messing with this most of the day.. So what ive done so far. is

Started with crimson drivers 15.20.  had to delete those two files and it allowed it to work. When i did the benchmark it was able to run through all the coins.. It did however terminate on nist5 and keccak  neoscrypt was less then 1 mhs but i didnt think to write it down till now that i have issues like the above poster.

So after reading your post i downgraded to 15.7.1.. All is good.. first thing right off i didnt have to delete those two files in the three folders..(I restored them to test)  ran the benchmarks.. Noticed a slight improvement on x11 right off. from 10.4 mhs to 11.1 mhs

What is odd tho and ive tried your solutions is the neoscrypt.. shows me being able to mine at over 130 mhs.. Which is .3 btc a day.. That would be great but it never submits a share

List of speeds on each algo.. Let me know if any of these seem off or really poor. Not sure what to compare it to..

x11 = 11.4mhs
x13 = 4.2 mhs
keccak = terminated
nist5 = terminated
neoscrypt = 125 mhs
whirlpoolx = 102 mhs
qubit = 11.1 mhs
quark = 14.6 mhs
lyra2rev2 = 11. 9 mhs

temp target is hard coded to 75C, I want to change it

You can edit config.json in the NiceHash Miner directory and edit --temp-target in the group "Name": "AMD_OpenCL" for each algorithm.

How friggin long does the standard benchmark take???!!! It recognized the cards and for the last hour this repeats over and over in the log:   (different times obviously)
[2015-12-21 15:19:44] [INFO] [NICEHASH] Balance get
[2015-12-21 15:20:03] [INFO] [NICEHASH] SMA get

This is just for the FIRST of several algo's to test and it still has me waiting.

Which GPU do you have?

If you have AMD Pitcairn/Tahiti/Hawaii, then try running manually runme.bat in the "..\bin\sgminer-5-1-0-optimized" folder.

If you have other AMD GPUs, try running manually runme.bat in the "..\bin\sgminer-5-2-1-general" folder.

Do you see sgminer hashing? Can you switch to other algorithms by switching pools - press [P] in the sgminer window?

Got Nicehash running, Windows 10, latest SDK, 12.7.1 drivers, deleted the two amd files out of the 3 sgminer folders, ran precise benchmark. I have strange fan up and down behaviour on  4x7950 rig (15.7.1) with cards overheating.
 Other pools working perfectly, only with new Nicehash miner?

are you using the crimson drivers? ...

they have been patched for such card usage ...

#crysx
Crimson were not reckognising cards so I reversed back to 15.7.1.
