Seems like global rate is falling as BTC value rises.  Is that a valid correlation from the past rates or does there seems to be added capacity due to more miners?

I think it's because most altcoin prices are going down: people are sell their GPUs.

are you going to release the source for the miner - so that we can compile a linux version? ...

or have i missed this somewhere that you already have? ...

#crysx

NiceHash Miner is completely open-source (https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner).

And all the actual mining apps that NHM is using in the background are open-source as well (https://github.com/nicehash/sgminer, etc.).

But you can't simply "compile" NHM for Linux, it would have to be ported to Linux ...

tanx ...

thats what i needed to know ...

much appreciated ...

thank you for the miner ... very nice ... but i have one question.

how do i limit which coins i mine....

it seems that my gtx 970 always defaults to quark. and X11 or X13 is 3 times better return?
X11   3336   0.1610 *  1665%   0.1558 *
X13   3337   0.2121 *  1678%   0.1852 *

Quark   3345   0.0932 *  500%   0.0928 *

Huh

under the extra settings can i disable algo's i dont want to mine?

thank you for your time !!!

The profitability as it is displayed on our web page is only the default profitability, based on our generally set multi-algo ratios (https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=multialgo). These ratios can be completely different for a particular GPU. That's what the "benchmark" is for in the NiceHash Miner - it calculates the ratios based on the performance of your particular GPU for each algorithm and later on mines the algorithm that is most profitable for your GPU -> this can of course be different from generally set multi-algo ratios as displayed on our web page. To make is short -> do not worry, if you did the benchmark, then NiceHash Miner will always mine the most profitable algorithm for you.

Best regards,
NiceHash.

Antminer s7 sell but diff 8100..how can I do diff 16300 ? #xnsub active but does not rise to the challenges

Don't worry about diff, it will be set automatically to optimal one. But you can also set it manually: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=faq#faqs10

For a 290X what do you recommend for the settings in the config file?
Many of the Benchmarks Terminate/crash it seems with the stock settings.
Have played around with them a bit, but only got X13 to work though a bit slow than what it should.

290X is sometimes problematic with the optimized version of the sgminer. You can follow these steps for debugging purposes:

1. ONLY IF USING AMD Pitcairn, Hawaii or Tahiti GPUs:
- open Command Line window (cmd.exe)
- change directory into NiceHashMiner\bin\sgminer-5-1-1-optimized\
- run this command: "runme.bat"
- wait 5 minutes and try switching among the three available algorithms, check if all three works

2. FOR ANY AMD GPUs:
- open Command Line window (cmd.exe)
- change directory into NiceHashMiner\bin\sgminer-5-2-1-general\
- edit "runme.bat" and make sure that the line "sgminer.exe --config sgminer-fixed.conf" is uncommented (no "::" in front of the line)
- run this command: "runme.bat"
- wait 5 minutes and try switching among the available algorithms, check if majority works

You can also send us print-screens to [email protected] so that we can help you debug issues.

Also, if you have multiple GPUs, try running NiceHash Miner with only one GPU selected for test.

And of course, make sure you're using AMD Driver Catalyst Omega 15.7.1.

Best regards,
NiceHash team.

The interface is a little complicated and it requires users to do a mental calculation for the total costs. Imho, miningrigrentals offers a much simpler interface.

Meh confirmed that as a seller on nicehash right now you're losing money. Making more on other pools and as a buyer people keep nudging the price up to the point where you may as well not buy lol... Actually really disappointed because nicehash was profitable not so long ago

Nicehash payouts have been a joke for the past month, 1 month ago i was making 3x as much BTC on nice hash and the funny thing is I'm making 3x as much on other pools............
The only other pools that I know of are generating about the same as nicehash on a BTC/TH/Day basis.
I would love to hear about any other pools which are paying significantly higher.
Heck, if they were, I could buy hashing power from nicehash and mine on those other pools and keep the difference.

Yeah I'm aware but the price of BTC is rising rapidly and the price of altcoins is rapidly falling. so doesn't that make spending btc right now on altcoins silly? at least until the price of BTC stabilizes. If you buy 0.2 bitcoin for say $77.29 USD to rent hashing power for altcoins that 0.2 could be worth $100 USD tomorrow...
Ah, altcoins... That explains a lot.
I have been renting my antminers to nicehash for about 6 months now, so altcoin is not in the picture for me.
Except that I do have some cpu's mining alts right now, just in the background, I think I get about $0.20 per day...
