I'm now on block 542 after I restarted the client.  Is everyone else on this block?

No. What's the IP address I could look at it on?

I'm on block 539, but the times are correct...

i had 250k worth of pending transactions and they just disappeared

I would wait until the network is more stable before sending transactions.  I'm sure the coins will reappear in your account if the transaction wasn't completed.

If a short deadline set they could be transfered back to the sender and never confirm.

This is the problem i have with POS currencies:
http://88.198.210.245:7876/?request=getBalance&account=10105875265190846103
has 10% of the NXT, and will just keep getting richer as time goes on and he/she/they collect 10% of all mined fees.  After a while they will have 11% of all the coins, and will collect 11% of all mined fees.  Wait long enough, and they will have all of the coins.

Seriously, please explain to me why this isn't a problem?

Edit: Also, nobody donated 10% of 21 BTC to that donation address.  So i can only assume that this 10% stakeholder is most likely the dev himself. Speaking of which, how many coins of the 1billion went to the dev?  I'm not trying to harass, i'm just asking for a bit of transparency here since i am now an investor as well.

These r unclaimed coins. Initially there were 170 mil but part was claimed. BCNext keeps giving these coins to their legit owners, so everything is OK.

When starting Nxt, do not broadcast your address as "127.0.0.1" or "localhost".

How do you prevent that?

Don't run this command "java -cp Nxt.zip Nxt 127.0.0.1"

Which is why I suggested to start a new thread. CfB replied with suggesting that I do it, but I don't feel that I have enough authority to do such a thing.

I don't want to do it as well. I'm tired with all this marathon.

I'll make a new post with the updated information.

Can someone confirm that the Nxt 0.2.3 client's sha256 hash is 6a68e8ca539e91f12d68aa6b9387565dac497f3d2737ee6e388e4d43fae86805 ?

was transactions i was receiving. they were unconfirmed.

They were probably sent from a client on a fork.  The sender will need to be on the correct chain and resend the coins.

Digital Ocean is down because of Power Outage.

Do NOT run Nxt on a VPS.  This is a terrible idea!  All VPS have backdoors and someone could be watching your connection to your VPS and get your passphrase.

I seem to be stuck on block 520.  The blocks could not be updating because of poor network propagation.

I'm going to start a separate thread for this soon, but I wanted to go ahead and post here first.

I'm selling 5,000,000 NXT and the price of the first 250,000 NXT is 20% cheaper than the current market price.  The prices I will charge for NXT are laid out in the following Google Document and will gradually increase as my supply decreases.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvdOna5wsG2RdDZ4M2R6WHRHczVHVHdUWnRGOWo3NXc&usp=sharing

The process is very simple.  All you need to do is send BTC for the amount of NXT you want to purchase to this address and include a "public note" of your NXT address.  Send the BTC to this address:
16bE9DcVfzYFigDcvQ8zR4xj43pSRShdou

Orders will be processed in the order they are received.  I recommend that you check the balance of the address so you will know how much NXT has already been bought before you make your purchase.  This corresponds with the "Total Balance of Wallet <= This Value @ This Traunch" column in my spreadsheet.
https://blockchain.info/address/16bE9DcVfzYFigDcvQ8zR4xj43pSRShdou

To limit your risk to me as a counter-party for the transaction, I suggest sending no more than 0.25 BTC at a time and waiting until you have received your NXT before purchasing more.

Excited to be involved in what is already becoming a great community!

Just bought your first 250,000 Smiley for .2
