No! Qora dev is not involved with Kora (so far). He is always welcome, but I have not contacted him yet out of respect as I assume he is busy coding Qora, and too busy with that to get involved with Kora. I think he is probably aware of Kora, and I hope he does not mind. Our intention is to promote his creation, and we have the uttermost respect for Qora dev!
Kora will be a clone of Qora, but using the marvel that is the NXT AE, we can issue (and then trade!) Kora tokens on the NXT asset exchange BEFORE we clone Qora and boot up Kora. It sounds a bit far-fetched when you first read it, but after a bit of thought it actually makes perfect sense, and it shows the potential for decentralised crypto technologies.
It's an experiment, and that's one of the reasons (apart from personal preference) for making Kora free! If it doesn't work no body gets hurt, except me, and I'm happy to risk some time and money to see what happens.
