This is the correct ANN thread
and this is the peepcoin thread

someone is trying to confuse the peepcoin community by diverting them to their own  thread
its called spamming the board.

Peepcoin fans please stick to the coin, do not swap or do anything else that these scammers ask you
its an attempt to steal you coins by asking you to send your peepcoins to an address which they control.

Have you found the Yellow Sign?
It was about time. the old dev did virtually nothing for this coin.

We're certainly looking to shake things up. Check out the discord and ask any questions you want!

1) check the usual suspects; antivirus blocking the wallet-qt or diskspace

always back up your wallet.dat

add the peepcoin.conf and also try syncing wallet to new location with the --datadir=c:\newlocatio option

and after its fully synced ; copy the original wallet.dat to new location

Have you found the Yellow Sign?

I deleted all the files without the wallet.dat and same thing happen Sad

Try running as administrator? I'm not really sure, it shouldn't be hanging up like that on open with no bootstrap, if you join the discord we have live help as well

I tried that, but same result. The only thing that changes is that when I delete the files and start the wallet I don't see my coins and when I return the original files I see them. Tomorrow I will contact the support on discord and check with them. Thank you for your patience and help!

Create a file called Peepcoin.conf in %appdata%/Peepcoin and include this:

Hey guys, every time when I open my wallet it goes to (Not Responding). My computer was off for 2 days and now can't start the wallet. What should I do, so I don't lose my coins?

What wallet are you using, which OS? if using almightyruler's prebuilt windows qt, it should sync without intervention. If you're using the bootstrap it will pretend like it's not responding while importing the bootstrap, and this process can take multiple days.

Windows 10 and I use the windows qt wallet. Normally when my PC has been off and I start the wallet it starts syncing, but now as soon as I launch it it gets the (Not Responding) message. And it is staying like this, I will leave it for 1h and see what will happen.

Than you for your fast response!

Did you start the wallet, then stop the process while it was syncing? If you're not getting any connections and the chain data isn't loading, you may need to delete your block chain files and restart by going to %appdata%/Peepcoin and deleting all files except wallet.dat and restarting your wallet to begin the process from scratch

Thanks for the quick response ? So am i looking at hours ? I keep closing it thinking its crashed etc.

You'll have to leave your wallet open while the blockchain is importing with the bootstrap, if you try to do anything you'll get the "unresponsive program" prompts, but it's actually working. Just open and wait. You can track your own chain status by going to %appdata%/Peepcoin and watching the file "blk0001.dat" increase in size. It'll take a day or two I believe - but the wait is worth it, once you've sync'd you can start staking. If you have any questions you can ask in the discord, people are always there to help.

Top response. Thank you so much. Thats exactly what was happening and i checked the file to confirm.

Hi Peeps. Does the bootstrap usually take a long time to load the first time ? Is an hour unusual ?

It's a very big and old chain and relatively antiquated wallet code, so even with a bootstrap it'll take a while to import it. Sync and quality of life improvements are some of the first things to be tackled
