Seeing you guys fix the problems with the coin makes me believe in this coin & its development community. Also nice to see the volume double today; This coin is going places.   Grin

The subject of Premine will be moving to the official forum at: http://forum.premineco.in

I'm going to keep this thread going awhile longer and eventually close it.

The thread is quite lengthy and holds a lot of good information, but it is scattered over many pages. The result is repeated questions. Who can blame somebody for not sifting through it all. I think the subject is better served in our own forum. Right now this is just an advance notice.

Fair enough. I'll get an account created at some point. Seems a pity to close the thread though. We still need to attract new users. How will we do that without the Bitcointalk thread? it gives us a great deal of exposure.

It's also been some time since I found a block. Has the difficulty increased significantly?

no, but the hashrate has

I did not delete the bock data i just used the cmd   premine-qt.exe -reindex

Will this be ok or do i have to delete the blk etc and redownload it?

I don't know if I have the same issue, but if I do, how do I use -reindex? Create a windows shortcut to QT and add the command -reindex?

If using windows

go to the folder the qt file is in but click NOTHING. press shift and right click

Scroll down to open command window here..

In command window type premine-qt.exe -reindex

press enter

That's a really handy tip. I didn't know you could point the command window like that! Very nice.

Just remember if you click anything in the folder you cannot get the cmd window. Full of handy little tips me lol that will be 499,919 premine fee please

You missed a few decimal places. Cheesy

I did  it this way.

Ok, great. I'll reboot my machine tomorrow and see if I have the same issue. Would do it now, but you know how it is when you're busy mining.  Grin

I have about 1.6 ghash on Premine now. I know it's not a lot, but maybe I can invest in a decent ASIC miner with some BTC and get one running full time to support the network. Once I figure out where to buy one.

after updating the coin I am now getting error: {"code":-1,"message":"CDB() : can't open database file wallet.dat, error -30973"}

did you follow all these steps? It should work without any trouble.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4850348

yeah I removed the three directories listed.  Starts up fine if I remove the wallet.dat file but not with it.

do you have a backup of your original wallet.dat? (hopefully)

- Then start premine-qt and wait until it's synced.
- Stop the client.
- Remove the newly created wallet.dat and copy your original wallet.dat into the AppData/Roaming/Premine-Folder
- start premine-qt again

I had to run with the -salvagewallet option and that seemed to fix it

I'd just like to point out the hilarious truncation under "Today's best images" on that page.

Well, as many of you very kindly sent me coins (around 20 actually), in the spirit of giving, I bought a few more and will give 5 away per person for the first 20 posters (100 total).

I know it is not a huge giveaway but it's all I can afford, and 5 is certainly better than nothing Smiley.

Link to giveaway - http://www.cryptorun.com/index.php?topic=4.0

If you want to donate to this giveaway so I can extend it then feel free to send your PMC to - 1NAgj9i6KenDmKjN7yegLa63eMiNPf8qYT
All donated coins will be added to the total or put towards another giveaway thread if sent after the current giveaway has finished.

I'm happy to help promote PMC, and of course send some PMC for your trouble, too. Let me know how the giveaway goes. If it goes well and you want to do another, get me a heads up.  Smiley
