Yes, I agree. Having currency without practical use is worthless and coin just becomes another pump and dump.

We have some big ideas for PMP, but they take time to implement. It's not just about the currency itself. People are very focused on coin features, but not as much on what you can actually do with the currency. Currency is worthless if you can't spend it or use it in innovative ways. So to build infrastructure like that takes time and careful planning to make sure it is robust and flexible.

Disagree.... when PMC came out it was a bitcoin clone with minimal coins... 100 percent pre-mined and given out 100 percent... freely... it pre-dated AUR and other who have attempted the same thing...  all PMP has done was convert that effort to a pure POS coin.... while keeping the original people involved with PMC in mind... people who cared and saw the idea as being good... remember... at that time any pre-mine was 'bad'. this was an attempt to do something new and different.... PMP only continues that effort.... a pure POS coin with limited coinage...  this is a great coin actually... and it is widely distributed to many many people, probably only Captcoin has done a better job of distribution. But technically PMP is even better than CAPT... we just need to have some faith and marketing at this point... stuff to buy PMP only, for example....  and then be patient....

The coin needs an exposure to the public, yeah many have been in this thread but few are the one really supporting it, active dev and a constant update is must too.

Yes, there have been some changes, however development will continue. Perhaps in a rather different direction to other currencies, as PMP must stand out as a unique and valued cryptocurrency.

Thanks Nullu for picking this one up again. I have been staking almost daily, and am still receiving some nice stakes. I'll keep following this thread, even though I am not that active on this forum at the moment.

I am posting this here because I've had a couple of requests to swap PMC for PMP recently, and would like to make my stance very clear on the matter;

The swap was announced and users were given three months, up until Oct. 1st to swap their PMC to PMP. This was a transition from a coin that was no longer supported by the developer to a brand new cryptocurrency with a new development team behind it. This gave people ample time to swap while PMC was still tradable and held value. This was essentially a gesture of good will to PMC holders, to allow them to take part in this new currency. We, the development team, were under no obligation to do this, but we wanted to build upon the platform and ideals that PMC as a currency put forth.

The swap window had to be limited as PMC was losing trade volume, and without an active developer, the coin was pretty much finished. We made the terms of the swap very clear, and for reasons of fairness we cannot re-open the swap window. To those who didn't swap their PMC in time, I apologise, but we could not hold the swap indefinitely. We had to move on. We cannot make exceptions, because PMC is worthless now, the blockchain is all but dead, and the transition from PMC to PMP has ended. There had to be a line somewhere, and that is where it was drawn.

It would also be extremely unfair on all those who did swap in time if we suddenly re-allowed swapping to continue. PMC was worth more when the swap was taking place. It is now worth next to nothing. People spent BTC buying PMC in order to trade it for PMP. By re-opening the doors, not only would we be cheating those people out of the BTC they spent at the time, but we'd also be changing the terms in which the giveaway was laid out. Neither of which we are prepared to do. It would undermine the integrity of PreminePlus.

For all the reasons mentioned above, this is why we swap window ended on October 1st.
