Ok, I'm not understanding this whole Pre-Sale ICO Crowdfund Happening right now.

How is a Pre-Sale Not Capped to a % of Crowdfund Saled?

Is it true that "ALL" Tokens can be sold in the Pre-Sale?

Will there be a Crowdfund?

I cannot access the ICO site, is there a place for better information.. Slack?

All of this is confusing. I was waiting for the crowdsale to happen in a few weeks, now i'm hearing things that it wont happen because Pre-ico is going to sell all tokens.  Kind of bullshit IMO if this is the case, many of us don't do pre-sales and were waiting for the ico...
and what about the bounty program? You just going to cut that off too during a "Pre-ico" Period weeks before the ICO where most legitimate users on here that 'Don't Spam' will get screwed for not hitting 50posts?

I hope to hear some legitimate answers from the project manager.
Thanks

Is the pre-sale and/or ICO available to U.S. residents?

I am curious about this as well. Clif High suggested another crypto on Twitter last night, but for non US residents only as it is located in the UK. Well, the crypto he talked about is called tenx and it looks as though it has the same street address as Populous in the UK.

So if a US resident sent ETH to Populous, are they in violation of any US
laws?

Nervous noob here, any info would be appreciated!

Was this question answered? I am a US resident and sent 30 ETH to get in on the presale. I looked and did not find anything restricing US residents, so I went ahead and sent the ETH. Could someone please answer this question. Thank you!

This is stated on the Presal Webside:

Tokens need to be claimed from the presale contract after the token sale is over . See the claiming instructions at the end of this document.

Cant find the instructions to that. Could you please explain how one can claim/receive the tokens?

They are also not prefedined on MeW.

Sure a bit expensive, but better to get in early for the highest chance of some serious gains. Can't wait to see what this token does in the future!!

Hmmm... Tenx doesn't look compelling enough. Too much competition on debit/credit card, etc payment services. And the potential depends on the merchant adoption, which if positive, would only intensify the competition. This isn't some first mover stuff.

Not a legal advice) but since there are no laws about ICOs I don't think that it can be illegal. Especially if you are the buyer and especially if not a biggest one.... if SEC would like to regulate ICOs, it would be reasonable if they'd start from regulating the token sellers rather than buyers

If it finish tonight or tomorrow that'd be the weirdest ICO I've ever seen. In Pre-ICO stage they'll sell all coins. What should we expect then? Early exchange process?

Iwould presume so. tokens will be released after pre ico finishes if it hits target

Edit: In terms of claiming the tokens, do we have to manually add the tokens to our wallets or will that come out in the future?

You wait until after the ICO (if there even is one after all this success) and then they will email you/you can contact them for instructions. They will then send your tokens to the address you sent your ETH from. I got a quick email from them telling me this after I contacted them - very good customer service and looks like a professional outfit.

Is it legal for US residents to buy populous tokens? Clif High has a warning about government freaking out on his twitter tonight.

You say you think Populous might sell out in the presale, but on the Populous website, it says the "presale is practically uncapped."  So is it possible for them to sell out of an uncapped presale?

Presale terms
Presale is practically uncapped, so cap for every contract is set to 99999999 ETH.

Now that's dodgy.
The site states uncapped limit, but the support staff said ICO will end if ~$12 mil is reached (I remember it was $6 mil initially).
It also said the max is 36 mil PPT, so how is that uncapped limit applied?
Confusing at best.

Yeah, I'm not at all against Populous, I'm just trying to figure out the actual terms.

Guys,

The term 'uncapped' refers to the amount any one individual can invest either in one transaction or over many transactions, hence how someone just invested 3000 ETH.

'Uncapped' is not referring to the amount being raised.

A few more purchases like this and the ICO will be over before its even begun!
