Indeed; this is essentially BitGrin (Grin + Bitcoin emission + mining tax) minus the Grin acknowledgement.

When asked earlier what distinguishes this project from BitGrin, they claimed it has no mining tax, which it now does.

There are key differences between Epic and Grin/Bitgrin, and this difference will increase as we progress on development. And again, we do acknowledge Grin in our white paper and soon to go public GitHub.

The budget emission is 8.8% first year and reduces 1.1% every year until zero. This is relatively much more modest than some coins and will help ensure we can continue developing and promoting. The ultimate goal is to transition from using a foundation to a decentralized autonomous organization.

bitgrin/epic minus dev tax ,surely will attract many miners.
dump from tax scared some miners.

It’s saddened me to see that no credit is given to Grin, from which you forked.

Credit is given to Grin in our white paper and when GitHub is public. We will give credit where it is due.

How much does the board receive from this?  And why is it that there exist only 2 people on said board?  Why hasn't any of that Epic yet been distributed to those responsible for developing the platform to this point?  Why is this "community project" being governed by one person who is now on medical leave?

Good points raised epics starting to smell like a stinker

Tbh I gave up on this one fairly quickly. The way wallet/miner compiled wasn't great and how telegram group was all up to date while discord and this forum was all left in the dark and the link to the wallet/miner was off a website and not off the github source.

Very backwards left me with no confidence.
I don't think Epicmax has any experience in making this a successful project epic gonna be a epic failure

Not to mention the 3x alias?

Epicmax, i ask you to make in the main post a list of pools for mining, links to download miners, a link to blockexplorer and guides that will facilitate the start of mining.

And, why does someone need to start a new BCT account to ask these questions?

The site is down. Fix please.
It's working fine here. I just have checked it, no problem here. I think it's a problem from your side. Can you share which browser you are using? You can try clearing cache.

This coin sounds interesting to me.  I would like to know more about it and what is the best way to mine it?
Here's everything you need to know in order to mining EPIC-
Quote
2.3.1-1  Updated 9-17-19  NOTE: We are now Live!!

Epic Server 2.3.1
This release improves the block propagation situation.

We used to propagate a newly produced only to a limited number of peers, now we propagate to everyone.

IMPORTANT: We also introduced a new configuration option in the server: header_sync_timeout. This allows you to configure when to start the epic server synchronization mode: this mode forces your local server to fetch the latest header from the peers.

This means that you now ARE REQUIRED to add the header_sync_timeout option under [server] in your epic-server.toml when updating your server, or you need to delete and generate your file again. The recommended value for this option is 10.

Though we added this option for quality of life, with the improvement on block propagation we believe it should not be necessary to change its default.

==================================

Epic Miner 2.3.1
This release introduces a quality of life change: now the miner will only receive jobs from the server when it is the turn of the configured algorithm to mine. Otherwise, the miner will remain idle.

So what exactly is the algorithm that you use to mine this coin? I see that it favors CPU but what is the actual algorithm to use to mine it?

For CPU, the algorithm used is RandomX which is solely designed for CPU mining, with this algorithm, the effectiveness of super powered device is decreased.

For GPU, ProgPow algorithm has been used.

For Asic, CuckAToo31+ has been designed.

The most important question is why do we need EPIC?  Do they have a serious platform and options for real use?  By the way, some leading exchanges oppose anonymous cryptocurrencies.  How do Epic developers intend to solve this problem?

Good evening. Any plans of joniing crypto expos? It would be great to meet you there! WDYT?

Hello jacskluter, please visit our community at https://t.me/EpicCash , you may get your answer faster in there...

I do not know why you are forcing your community on Telegram and some other channels and neglecting the Bitcointalk forum. Bitcointalk is certainly the largest mining site and the largest crypto base. As such, it deserves much more attention. How many people have heard of your Telegram chat and how much of the Bitcointalk forum? I think that the active thread on the Bitcointalk forum is of great importance and there must be constant support in its direction.

Without a community, this project has no chance.
Their translators were not paid. Very negative point to the project.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.52524335
Team has paid the amount to the translation agency as far as I know. Now it's a problem with the translation agency, Epic team isn't anymore responsible for it.
Why don't you use escrow before starting the work? Isn't it your duty to make your fund safe?
