Why can't I lose anything when I create a wallet and lose the password?
So long as you have your "seed" the words you were supposed to copy down when you first made the wallet, you will never lose your coins since they are stored in the block chain.

There is definitely something wrong with your computer not the blockchain. I have 2.3.0 with gui and it is working fine.

This is starting to be really undervalued right now. As soon as people get how much it's valid it will start to grow in value. Maybe it just need a new exchange for lift off!
