I suppose accepted tokens in a Crowdfund would be AION only? Or other ERC20 & AION-based ones?

People still don’t understand that Aion token use cases far exceeded current infrastructure coins. Aion tokens are not only used on Aion-1 blockchain, but also for every inter-chain transaction on Aion bridges & on all spoke blockchains, which will  propel Aion’s mcap to top 5 or top 3 according to Metcalfe’s law.

Aion is a not-for-profit project by Nuco Global that has 4 main competitive advantages:

The Tech
Aion is developing a protocol and bridging system that will allow transfer of value and logic between blockchain networks, like TCP/IP protocol and routers did for isolated intranets in the 1990's.

Aion will enable interoperable dApps that can make changes on one blockchain based on changes on others. For example, an entry on a hospital's blockchain about a medical procedure could trigger a dApp that verifies coverage on an insurance blockchain and then triggers payment on a bank's blockchain. Other interoperability projects only seek to make interoperability possible between and among their own networks, or transfer value but not logic.

Aion plans to release its first interchain bridge soon--a token bridge to convert Aion ERC20 tokens on Ethereum to native Aion coins on Aion's upcoming main net release. More one-off bridges connecting Aion with Ethereum and other private and public blockchain networks will be developed and tested on a rolling basis, leading up to the release of Aion's generic bridge in phase 3 (currently projected for 2019).

Aion's virtual machine (AVM) will be built for speed and efficiency. The FastVM (the current release) has achieved major speed and efficiency improvements over Ethereum's virtual machine in benchmark tests already. Aion's test net is cranking out huge transaction numbers in stress tests. You can see the test net in action live on Aion's dashboard and explorer. The AVM (projected for phase 2 later this year) will utilize parallel transaction processing for an even more streamlined VM.

Aion will allow users to generate custom "spoke" chains connected to Aion-1 (the main public "hub" blockchain) through the AVM. This means quick and simple blockchain creation tailored to a user's particular needs (like privacy and speed). Spoke chain generation is also projected to be available for phase 2 later this year.

Aion's spoke chain functionality will also address scalability because resource-intensive dApp operations can be off-loaded from Aion-1 (or other blockchains) to spoke chains. For example, imagine if most of the CryptoKitties dApp's breeding and trading operations were performed on its own chain before the final state information were reported back to the Ethereum network to avoid network congestion.

The initial main net release utilizes a modified Proof of Work consensus algorithm and rewards can be earned by mining. On Aion-1 (hybrid consensus release in phase 3, 2019), validators/nodes will receive rewards for processing transactions and validator backers (Delegated Proof of Stake stakers and Proof of Intelligence solvers) will earn rewards by supporting the validators. Aion bridges will also have their own distinct network of validators and fee distribution structures. The PoW and hybrid consensus releases will coexist via bridging, so Aion's coin supply will exist on and between both chains.

The release date of Aion's main net will be announced soon, and may fall before the end of April. More details on the tech are available in Aion's white papers (with more technical papers to be released later in the roadmap) and on Aion's Forum.

The Team
Aion's team is second to none when it comes to understanding the needs of government and enterprise clients.

Founder Matt Spoke is CEO of Nuco Global, a blockchain infrastructure company whose clients include TD Bank, the Ontario Government, and TMX Group. Co-founder Kesem Frank talked about some of this work at FFCON18 recently.

Before that, Matt co-founded Deloitte's blockchain team, Rubix. Matt is a Founding Steward of the Muskoka Group with Ethereum Co-Founder Joe Lubin and Don and Alex Tapscott, and a Founding Board Member of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance. Matt has been appointed as Advisor to the Ontario Securities Commission and Ministry of Finance.

Aion's advisors include Ethereum Co-Founder Anthony Di Iorio and TMX Group's VP of Innovation & Enterprise Delivery, John Lee.

Their growing team of 35+ already has double-digit engineers and is planned to double in size before the end of the year. Aion will soon have teams in Shanghai, Barbados, and Romania in addition to their new, bigger offices in Toronto.

The Partnerships
Aion's list of partnerships includes Fortune 1000 companies (Moog), leaders in finance (Deloitte), and other blockchain projects (Icon, Wanchain, SONM, Metaverse, Enigma, Bancor, and SingularityNET). Additional partnership announcements are expected in the coming weeks and months.

The Message
The Aion team is in the middle of their World Tour and focused on establishing a network of developers to build on Aion and enterprises who can use Aion to create their own private blockchains, connect them with each other, and connect them with other public blockchain networks.

May 2018 is going to be a particularly big month. AionEX is Aion's inaugural developers conference on May 2 in Toronto. This leads right into EDCON, Ethereum's community developers conference May 3-5 in Toronto, which Aion is Super Sponsoring and at which Matt Spoke is a speaker. In mid-May, Matt also plans to speak at Consensus 2018 in NYC.

TL;DR - The Tech is breaking records, The Team is top-notch, The Partnerships are impressive, The Message is spreading world-wide--and Aion's just getting started

The potential network effect cannot be overstated. Aion may not corner the interoperability market completely, but it is poised to dominate, particularly in the North American and enterprise markets.

The Aion Virtual Machine will be a Speed Demon for DApps

The FastVM (Aion's current VM on the test net) is already beating the Ethereum VM in benchmark tests. Running DApps is both faster and cheaper on Aion. (https://blog.aion.network/aionfastvm-c5ccd1628da0)

The Aion VM (the next version of the VM currently in development) uses parallel transaction processing (PTP) to run EVEN FASTER (64x the EVM and counting). PTP enables sections of code to be processed simultaneously instead of sequentially--like adding lanes to a highway. (https://youtu.be/pa6QjCmtEXE?t=32m20s)

And all this is on top of the Scale and Spoke functionality built into Aion's design, which will avoid the bottleneck issue we saw when Cryptokitties hit Ethereum. (https://youtu.be/pa6QjCmtEXE?t=13m17s)

Fasten your seatbelts!

There are several roles that provide rewards in Aion's economic model:

For the initial PoW release (this year Q2), rewards can be earned by mining.

On Aion-1 (2019 release, hybrid consensus), validators/nodes will receive rewards for processing transactions. Additionally, validator backers (DPoS stakers and PoI solvers) will earn rewards by supporting the validators.

The PoW and hybrid consensus releases will be bridged and coexist. AION's coin supply will exist on both chains, so mining will continue to generate rewards into the future.

Additionally, Aion bridges between blockchain networks will have their own distinct network of validators and fee distribution structures.

$50 to $100 is easy to reach for Aion during next crypto bull run.

Considering Aion team caliber, size (35+ people & soon 150 by eoy), connections, partnerships, 3+ years of development, huge project protential, multiple token use cases, all upcoming events, etc... it's not hard to see why AION marketcap should be same levels of ADA & EOS (both still in Testnet) and much much higher than projects like Lisk & Qtum (go do a quick comparison)

An mcap similar to EOS & ADA at $10b to $20b
Puts Aion price at $50 to $100
(assuming even 200m future circulating supply)
