Whenever I start a project, I don't immediately assume it is a billion dollar project...Maybe I am different.

Each developer believes that his project is the best. The same situation is here and the creators of Bitcoin Sport believe that it will be at least as good as Bitcoin - so billion dollar project! You certainly would also think this same about the coin that you would create.
How do you want to know what I would think if I were to develop a coin? There is almost no way to beat Bitcoin as the environmental conditions have been very unique for Bitcoin and can never be replicated again. Think about it.
I am not saying that Bitcoin Sport will beat Bitcoin or not. I'm just saying, that every developer should believe in the success of his project, if he did not believe, what to start project for? In this case, dev believe that some day Bitcoin Sport will be in top 10 cryptocurrencies - so in "billion dollar club"
If he is a believer he may better go to church frequently. Building a top 10 cryptocurrency these days is extremely hard as it is not only up to your technical capabilities, but many more things.
