What a complete shitty payout today.  Everyone leave this pool immediately.

Hey all. I've been on this pool a long time, haven't compared numbers in quite a while.

However the recent "let's talk about payout" caught my interest, as people reporting .01/mh or even .015/mh are way outperforming me. Like, up to 2x, that is considerable and a little worrying. I'm averaging something like 0.0075/mh.

So I poked around a little.

Here's two different users, for example:

This guy, let's call him Bob, has a steady 19 mh/s or so, and has been around since Dec 16th-
http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1ACruk5rrJmGTkP7UyyoqGDLNZTHzkqviY.html

And this dude, Let's call him Frank, has slightly less, maybe 18 average, and just started mining on the 7th-
http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1FxziX77LiZLZxhdXMWREMQVMyjbDmCubw.html

So these are roughly comparable hashrates, with comparable reject ratios, but Frank (the newer, slower miner) is absolutely trouncing Bob on the payouts.

WTF is going on here?
(And yes, I know all the usual explanations, but I don't think any of them actually apply to this specific example)

Did Bob and Franck confirm you they've always worked with the same hashrate, each hour, for all the reported days?
No interruption, no days with some miners on another pool, no maintenance, no windows updates taking hours, no sick GPUs ?

You may be right but just with the dates and payouts of previous days and the hashrate of last hour there's no evidence.

For the last ten days beta servers could also have played a role. Some users switched and other didn't.

You suckers.

You tell them SimonG! Idiots need to leave middlecoin!  /sarcasm_off

I've only been back on middle coin for a few days. But the last 3 days have been fairly stable.

1.7MH
Day1 - 0.016
Day2 - 0.017
Day3 - 0.016

Average of 0.0096/MH/day

wow great payout today.

(can't wait to read the complaints, allegations, and threats!)

h2o kidnapped the Lindbergh baby, made ASICs to kill GPU mining and puts fluoride in our drinking water...  It's just horrible.

Hey guys,

I downloaded the mdc2.py script a while ago and have been using to monitor my middlecoin miner.  I have noticed the last few days it has been WAY over what I actually am getting paid.  For instance is claims my balance currently is .0105 but the website claims it is .0074.

Has something change that would make this script not be as accurate as it has been?

  Phad
Are you sure you're not looking at total balance which includes unexchanged and immature coins? Also what part of website are you referring to? The table with all miners balances or your adress' report page? Since the former was updated more frequently and therefore more accurate.

That is exactly what I was doing.  Thank you!

On the plus side, AMD GPU's would to come down to normal price. Not to mention the used market.

People sitting on a bunch of GPU will be planing the timing of putting them on ebay. There might come a time where the power costs will exceed earnings.

Still a lot of confusion how much they actually cost.  Last time they were mentioned it was $65 per chip.  Assuming 5 chips per USB => $65 x 5 = $325 per x 10 = 3250

How did you calculate the 1360$? At 65$ per chip it would total 65*5*10=3250$
Obviously they are charging the crap out of this chip because they are the only ones that have it.

no need to calculate.

They listed price as 8300 RMB that is = $1360.

@ASICs
They're interesting but they are no threat at the moment.

What are you even doing here still? Where is your evidence against h2o? Gone alongside GPU mining as you claim? Maybe you should go too and don't come back.

If you go to the link and read the specs, you see it says Gridseed GC3355 X 5. Which means each USB device contains 5 chips. Each chip does around ~60 KH/s. So one of the USB devices will do ~300KH/s. They are selling them in batches of 10. So for the $1360 you get 10 of them. Basically totalling ~3.0 MH/s

Here's what is says in chinese:

品牌:Gridseed 格瑞思捷

芯片:Gridseed GC3355 X 5

You can see it says there are 5 chips in the device.
An actual chinese person that translated this stuff properly says it's basically $500 for ONE USB miner hashing at 360KH/s... so no, you're totally wrong and showing your stupidity again buddy.  They were only sold in batches of 10 USB miners, to only 40 people.  360KH x 400 = 144MH/s total... hardly a big deal.  The only benefit of scrypt asic so far is the power consumption - but that's not going to really matter to GPU miners for at least a few months.

Yes the correct price is ~80$ per chip !!  Shocked (60-70kh/s)...

Do you have eyes? It's $1360 for 3,600 hash. Much cheaper than GPU rigs.

Mistake !! 1 Unit = 65$. So, 10 units = 650$ for 600-700Kh/s max !!

1 unit has 6 chips in it.
10 units = 60 chips (3,600 hash)
