I've been mining at full power for one month.
1/3 of my earnings are benefits for me. Electricity costs 0.2 $ per KWatts at my place.

It is still interesting to mine with GPU !

We lost 30535.017413466 WDC, with the fork attack yesterday

~4 BTC at the time of the fork

Has the invalid shares already been taken out or is the unexchanged balance just growing a little bit.

The invalid balance has already been taken out. Our unexchanged balance is just unusually large right now.

It looks like ya fixed it.  Thanks for the quick work!   Grin

Not quite. I'm not 100% sure all these funds are valid yet. I still have a little checking to do.

Is that why it just dropped over 8 BTC just after payout time?

This.

What teh eff?

WDC is disabled. I'll be investigating this tomorrow.

Edit: The dropped balance on the stats page may not be correct. It may be the case that my daemon switched to the wrong fork tonight, so it thinks there are orphans when there are not. I'll know more tomorrow.

guiminer uses SHA

It most likely accepted the work but it was rejected/never finished.

Thanks.  I was using the standard guiminer.exe, but needed to be using the guiminer-scrypt fork.  Before I figured this out though I switched to cgminer and that is working.

What was weird about this is that the guiminer.exe didn't show or log any errors and appeared to be working fine.  It was getting work on a regular basis and was showing Accepted shares.  After doing some more reading I see that scrypt mining uses a different method from the standard bitcoin mining and that is why the standard guiminer won't work.

How long should it take before a miner shows up on the stats page?  I am using guiminer and it seems to be working okay at the client end.  Guiminer shows 141 accepted shares.  However the btc address doesn't show up on the statistics at the middlecoin web site.  I'd just like to verify that the miner is getting logged at the server.

it feels low.. even tho i dont run 24/7 with ultimate setup - i can  still get roughly 320 WU/m

But it barely even crawls to reach close to the min payout.

I tried mining feathercoin yday for about   5h to compare and  after exhanging it seem to pay out more for the time wasted then i gained off middlecoin.

Doesnt middlecoin include ftc.letc and such... or does it simply magically "cut off" a portion of mined coins before trading for own profit (since we dont knwo what we mine and how much)?

If its supposed to automine best altcoin, then how come when i mine a single altcoin in a pool.. i can make more BTC?

We are looking at the lowest profit on this pool today. It is sad. This pool had so much promise and potential.

One bad day and all is lost?  heh..  Just looking at the stats it looks like everything is hung up in the immature column.  I'm sure it will all get sorted out.

Chad

It's not just one bad day. We've been having strings of these bad days ever since mid-September 2013. I've been mining here since August'13 and at first I was getting the same or slightly better than mining LTC on my own. Now, I am sure I can do better by straight mining BTC on my own. That's how bad it is here on middlecoin at the moment.

To recap, I have been mining at middlecoin for about 60 days and I have 1.2 BTC mined, that's 0.6 BTC a month on average.

I just don't know if I should go back to mining on my own any more. Sigh...

All cryptos are FIAT digital currency. Do not use.

Whats the daily figure now, Ive not mined recently.   I used to be ok with 0.01 btc a day from 7950

If BTC rises I think it makes the alts look worse, all miners are bound to get squeezed?

Its not the price of BTC. Its the difficulty. Its amazing that people buy into that garbage.

Compare BTC's difficulty graph to that of any of the devalued coins, then get back to me.
