• 1 in 13 people will experience their personal medical history compromised by a hack by 2021

Will adoption be difficult? Are their rules or regulations that could prevent mass adoption? Have you signed any clinic/hospital up thus far? Is their a waiting list on hospitals that are willing to try this? I understand this is def. a better mouse trap but what type of obstacles do you and your team expect to encounter? Usually change doesn't come easy. I will be investing very soon, I love the idea and I hope it goes according to plan. Good luck.

As for your question, there are a few answers:

• First, we're much more than a traditional patient database. Patientory is a blockchain-based distributed electronic medical record storage computing platform. Think of us a network/bridge that connects siloed, centralized EMR systems.

• The biggest advantage for doctors and healthcare organizations is the employment of blockchain to help the healthcare ecosystem mitigate damaging data breaches. EHRs are vulnerable to hacks. By it's very nature, blockchain utilizes a more secure, permanent record of online information exchange and can't be hacked. Cyber attacks are projected to cost hospitals $305 billion by 2021. WannaCry was proof that this isn't just idle conjecture. There is a need, and we are going to fill it.

• Doctors (and their healthcare organizations) use Patientory to get the patient’s complete and up-to-date medical history. They use PTOY tokens to secure private health information, rent computing power, servers and data centers. In addition, smart contracts can be executed in relation to the patient care payment cycle.

• One more thing ... It's not just the medical providers who will benefit. The Patientory app will allow patients to create an individual profile. On this profile, they will be able to store their medical information on a secure, HIPAA-compliant blockchain platform. Then they can connect with care providers as well as other patients who have similar health issues or concerns.
