It might be worth to mention that we're listed on https://cointomine.today/calculator/coin/PYE/
Use OTC price of 200-300 sats to calculate your ROI.

Is it correct to assume the source of truth for the difficulty rate, global hash rate etc  is on the block explorer and anything reported by a mining pool is to be taken as an approximation instead?  (asking because there is consistent difference between the explorer and the mining pool values)

It's quite simple actually. What you see in your miner is the difficulty of the block you're looking for, and in explorer (and wallet console) you see the difficulty of the last block found. If block time were faster you wouldn't probably even notice this.  Wink

I made SHA256Q miner for AMD GPUs and finally was able to find some time to upload it.  You can download it from here https://github.com/almonk5/sgminer-sha256q

I'm afraid it's too late for CPU mining now, unless you don't have to pay for electricity.

Is there any sense to mine this coin on CPU?

So, I have been getting what I assume is staking rewards (well, potential) on the wallet.  It shows the type as 'Mined' with a reward around 0.00001 (or an increment similar).  Each time it ends up as a "?" with a status of "conflicted, broadcast through 3 nodes".

I'm guessing these are the results of keeping my wallet open and staking.  So far all 6 of these instances have become like this.
Is this common to have so many [lack of a better word] failed stakes?

That just means someone got the block before you, possibly due to having more connections. It happens to me all the time too.

Is there a way to increase connections or optimize the chances of staking?  (I added the nodes from the top post.. seems I'm up to 5 connections now)

(and yeah, sorry for the onslaught of questions)

I have 7 connections, so your 5 is about right. That will fluctuate as people come and go with a coin.
As far as your 0.00001 Mined rewards, someone in deed was able to solve and mint the block before you. I also have these, however I am pool and solo stake mining. Today I noticed my pool miner connection was lost. So now I am just solo mining. RAM and Bandwidth is important when solo mining. Not sure how much RAM you have but when staking, you want to have at least 2GB RAM per wallet. I have 704 coins now.

Would it be nice to have some communication channel feature similar to discord built-in in the coin software?

Please be aware that from now on Discord is the only official communication channel, everything else is likely a scam.

I certainly wouldn't know how to implement it. Let's not reinvent the wheel Smiley
