Unfortunately not everybody is heated like we are (reading every post here) and prefer other channels to stay informed. I don't like the twitter campaign too, because it spams the same things all round, so I created another account to provide important info. But I would not dare to say they are doing it all wrong. These channels are important to bring some attention.

Thing is I never thought we needed to do anything more than what Qora asked us to do. It was the community that said they wanted to do loads of marketing before Qora wanted to. BUt then they disappeared. It would be better to of done nothing than promised and walked away.

I'm saying if you are going to do something do it clearly and follow through. At the moment it's all half hearted and uncoordinated by half hearted individuals.
I personally don't like twitter like campaigns, they are a waste of money, better just have an active thread. And we won't get more activity if we don't close chat and quickly open source so people can come in and work on wallets etc. Sometimes ideas don't require much action.
plus we need to connect with the chinese Qora community as I'm guessing they are the ones with a lot of stakes!

I don't want to be a jerk but this is typical of those quote heavily involved in Qora. It's not a direct criticism of the guy, he can do what the hell he wants to but we need people who are committed to Qora not other coins for fucks sake!

The problem with a few people is they did kind of take leadership by their profile and then didn't follow through.
We have had a few people that volunteered early on but people like Dzarmush etc shouted them down. We need at least to know who the leadership is in a defined way. A team was already picked but they are not here. Until they either go or turn up no one can do anything.

What you say is true in an open source code. In this particular coin, you have to wait for your dev to do something. Of course only technical, and only issues that cannot be solved by API. anyone can act alone on non-technical aspects.
I think the biggest mistakes was to have a chat function that takes the general discussion away from this thread and so the average person doesn't even know this coin has a leader or anything.

can someone give me some links of some info about naming service provided through qora wallet? i see that you can ragister names. and sell them later but what is it for? also if you register a name what happens? you need to pay for it or something?

Hype starts with price movements. Look how many people popped in on this thread when the price started moving. this coin is ripe for pumping a little.
If anything, the fact that Qora is flying under the radar is what got my attention. When people see hype they immediately think pump and dump. It's better to let the coin speak for itself and people will gain interest naturally. If you notice something without someone telling you it's good, you're more likely to trust that decision than if it were a result of someone trying to cram an opinion down your throat. Hype just attracts twitchy panic sellers.

Unfortunately we live in the period of time for crypto where marketing is essential for a success of a coin. Warranted or not, if you don't have the hype, you will get ignored.
All sectors of innovation, especially in the realm of computer tech, are filled with stories of superior products getting killed by competitors because the competition caught the eye of the public.
To be sure, I would like to help promote QORA some, but other than posting thoughts and small-analysis on here, I've not had much time. Also, I don't have a single "marketing" bone in me, but I can see it's importance. I would suggest, however, that we as a community should move into a more open, fluid community like Reddit and the cryptocurrency sub. People come here, but the dynamic is different than reddit and I think it's easier to get attention over there, rather than here on BTT where any altcoin ANN is simply noise.
I haven't bern to reddit in over two weeks (yeah, I've been that busy) but if a couple of you all post a discussion or two, I'll try to make an effort to answer questions, up-vote posts and add supporting comments.
